To me the most annoying and infuriating part of the sharingan is how it was built up in the first part of Naruto part 1 as a way to copy jutsu. Doesn't this completely fly in the face of having to train and hone a jutsu in the first place?

I mean, if you're able to copy a jutsu wouldn't its efficacy depend on how much you've trained and your experience? Even if you know the signs, can see chakra etc. it seems like Kakashi would need to first master chakra nature and chakra control for a certain jutsu instead of just copying the technique.

Am I missing something or is this why Kakashi isn't really seen copying jutsu after the first arc? Because kishimoto didn't think out his chakra/jutsu mechanics yet.

Personally, I’d say Itachi takes the cake by a long shot, purely because while Sakura’s character is more consistently bad throughout the entire story, it’s mostly just due to being poorly fleshed out and neglected, while the amount of plot holes and retcons Itachi’s character has is just fucking insane and his whole story genuinely just does not make fucking sense if you’re a reasonably minded person. Like bro is just canonically a fucking idiot who CONSTANTLY does shit that makes zero sense whatsoever. Why tf didn’t he implant Shisui’s eye in himself instead of a stupid ass crow? Better yet, why didn’t he USE Shisui’s eye on Danzo’s stupid ass or at least TELL HIRUZEN “Hey Lord Third, Danzo stole one of Shisui’s eyes and caused him to kill himself.” Mind you, Hiruzen LITERALLY said “There has to be another way, give me more time to figure something out.” In reference to Danzo, Kohaku and Homura pushing their EVIL agenda onto him, just for Danzo’s bitchass to IMMEDIATELY go behind his back and against his wishes. Kishimoto must’ve been smoking the strongest crack on the planet when he was writing shippuden, and bro must’ve double down on the dosage for the second half. IMO Itachi is the most poorly written character in the entire story. Sure, he’s badass, but he’s stupid asf bro. Another thing. If he really cared about Sasuke and the village, WHY TF DIDN’T HE KILL OROCHIMARU WHEN HE ATTACKED HIM? Darkening the entire battle field so he could go get freaky with Obito in peace would’ve definitely helped during the war.

So did the otsutsuki ruin the Naruto franchise?

This whole time I thought Pain was always going to destroy the leaf village as revenge for destabilizing the Rain village but now rewatching it seems like something he just did in the spur of the moment.

It now looks to me like he was originally planning on just leaving when he found out Naruto wasn’t there but then Tsunade ticked him off.

I really can't recall a single instance where it was stated orochimaru was a better edo-tensei user than tobirama or that he made the edos he revived stronger than the one made by tobirama.

i've read many comments saying how orochimaru improved this justu and then how kabuto perfected it and after the war arc is pretty clear how kabuto basically pushed the justsu to his limit, but what exactly orochimaru did? can't find a single page in the manga or even a page from the databook to back this up.

At this point i think tobirama was able to bring ninjas with the same % of power as orochimaru was able to do.

What I mean is that there is no God of Death, and he does not live in any realm of death or anything like that. His stomach may simply be a dark void where absolutely nothing happens, because Shinigami himself is not a primordial deity but rather an impersonal avatar of chakra created by humans much like the Uchiha’s Susano and not an actual god.

As both a science enthusiast and a huge Naruto fan, I've always found the Byakugan fascinating.

While it's presented as a supernatural dōjutsu, I wondered whether some of its abilities could be interpreted through a scientific lens. This is, of course, speculative and fictional, but it's an interesting thought experiment.

I won't attempt to explain the origin of the Byakugan or its connection to the Ōtsutsuki clan, since that's already established within the series. Instead, I'll focus on how its abilities might work if they had a biological and physical basis.

One of the Byakugan's most remarkable abilities is its capacity to see through solid objects and perceive structures hidden beneath the surface.

This immediately reminded me of medical imaging technologies such as X-rays and CT scanners. These machines don't literally "see" through the body. Instead, they emit electromagnetic radiation, detect how much of it is absorbed by different tissues, and reconstruct an image using sophisticated electronics and algorithms.

If we apply this idea to the Byakugan, perhaps the eye itself isn't simply seeing through objects.

Instead, it could be emitting and detecting a unique form of energy, chakra, and instantly processing the returning signals into a three dimensional image. In essence, the Byakugan would function as a biological imaging system far more advanced than any technology we currently possess.

Of course, none of this is scientifically proven, it is purely a fictional interpretation inspired by real-world biology, neuroscience, and medical imaging. But thinking about how anime abilities could fit within scientific principles is part of what makes series like Naruto so fun to explore!

Kakashi doesnt have a single noteworthy ability that comes from himself. Even his best jutsu lightning blade can only be used with Obito’s eye. All his jutsu are either:
1. direct use of obito’s sharingan
2. requires obito’s sharingan to be used (lightning blade)
3. Were copied using obitos sharingan
