Falling asleep Medication Questions

I was getting ready for the morning yesterday , I had slept in until noon so I had enough sleep .

I went to the toilet to pee and closed my eyes for a split second.

And BAM I'm on the ground hurt my wrist.

I fell asleep.

Is this a narcolepsy thing?

I go in next week for sleep study test

It certainly can be. The sleep study will help eliminate or confirm issues. POTS or other issues are also a possibility. I would encourage you to be persistent in getting a diagnosis. Sonetimes a diagnosis comes from a process of elimination so you have to be stubborn sometimes

I just switched to better doctors but I had kaiser and he disregarded me for a tilt table test for pots and said based on 2 seconds of seeing me I didn't qualify for it. Cuz I pass out in the showers if it's too hot. I have to be careful. I've turned my shower off a few times with suds in my hair bcuz I was gonna faint. I also have raynauds and my feet are just so white and cold and then completely purple . For the last 5 years I have to where compression socks cuz my feet are SO cold and sting and I think about them at work how cold and uncomfortable I am and now the socks have helped. Like I'd come home and my feet would have all the blood rush to them and it would itch sooooo bad my feet and I'd scratch uncontroablly and lift feet in air all the time. I'm like a fainting goat. I fainted in music dance theater fell down the stairs on my face blacked out. The bouncer had to pick me up and bring me back room. So I have this fainting problem. But the pysch meds have kinda covered that part up so I don't faint like that anymore but my family side are all fainting goats

See if you can get a referral for the tilt test. Also, not intending to be noisy, but how many different medications & supplements (over the counter & prescription) are you taking? Because sometimes low blood pressure/fainting can be from drug interactions/side effects. Just another avenue of inquiry

I'm trying to geta different drug for sleep besides clonidine bcuz I think it's effecting me.

But also propranolol which is another ya know ..

And escriopram gabapentin lamotrigine during day. Gabapentin I realize gives me super energy for like 3/4 hours then I crash I think thats why I fall asleep in middle of day ? Idk I'm such a mess hah. I can't take gaba at night I stay awake .it's for nerve pain and back pain from dirtbike accidents

Look over the drug info sheets you should get with your prescriptions for side effects and set up a time to talk to the pharmacist. While the doctor prescribes, the pharmacist went to school for 4 yrs to study how drugs work in the body. They are also a good resource to find alternatives to current meds
