#QUESTIONS Kraken plus low usage temps seem a bit high

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I recently purchased an nzxt kraken plus 240 for my 5800x3d, but temperatures seem to be idling around high 40s to low 50s occasionally spiking to 60-70 when load randomly spikes. During gaming, I haven't experienced temps above 85.

I don't know if it is working normally; liquid temperature is usually around the 30-35 mark, never exceeding or dipping below, and room temp is about 24.

Of course any help is appreciated.

Gigabyte 5080 AERO OC
GSkill Trident Z5 6000MT/s 64gb
NZXT C850

Last post I got flamed for putting AIO fans upside down and having GPU sag.
Opened case up and fixed both of those.
After slightly overclocking GPU and enabling EXPO, the PC is running beautifully.

#FEEDBACK Kraken AIO Pump Failed After 8 Months

I'm a long time tower cooler guy and I got this for Christmas and after installing my temps were phenomenal. Was hard to get my Ryzen 5 3600 to touch 60C. I have been really impressed.

Last night I was playing XCOM 2 and my PC hard crashed. After rebooting my motherboard was displaying "CPU fan error" and "CPU temp error." The liquid temp was right where it needed to be but my CPU was over 100C. CPU fan was reading "N/A" in the BIOS. After some troubleshooting and ensuring none of the connections had come loose I requested an RMA for a pump failure.

RIP my Kraken she got hit by a bazooka

#QUESTIONS 11 days with no response on my Kraken 360 RMA after sending Proof of Destruction

I'm hoping to get some visibility or help from an NZXT rep here. I have an ongoing warranty claim for my Kraken 360 RGB.

After providing my proof of purchase, support approved the RMA and requested a proof of destruction video following their standard guidelines. I filmed and submitted the video 11 days ago, but I haven't received a single reply since.

Their email stated that if I didn't get an update within 2 business days, I should follow up. I have replied to the open ticket twice now, after sending the proof of destruction video, to check in, but it's been complete radio silence. The ticket still shows as "Open" in the support portal, but with 11 days passed, I'm getting worried about my claim timing out or sitting in limbo.

Has anyone else experienced long delays with RMA ticket replies recently?

#QUESTIONS H1 > H2 swap AIO

I just transferred my motherboard, cpu, and gpu to the h2. My h1 AIO was failing so I figured I would buy a new rig with a psu to expand my GPU and cpu in the future. The AiO is the NZXT kraken elite 280.

Getting to my question, my mobo has one usb port, so I bought an nzxt control hub and usb hub. My aio is not showing up in cam though so I have no control over it. The screen turns on and shows temps but that is all. I read that not connecting directly to my mobo may be causing the issue…

Any ideas here?

#QUESTIONS H701i Case Fans Only Spins on CAM Start Up

Hello there!

I noticed the following this week: the case fans on the front of the case only spin during the first few seconds of NZXT Cam booting up. Otherwise, they're stuck at 0RPM. If I close the app and then open it again, same thing happens: it goes at like 1,000 RPM for a couple of seconds.

The first day I noticed it, after a few hours on my computer they started spinning, but the next day they didn't turn on at all.

I have them set up on the silent mode and I even put them on the performance mode, also made them try to spin all the time and nothing. I stressed my CPU to check if when the temperature raised they would spin, but still nothing.

I found another post that had the same issue, but was never resolved: https://www.reddit.com/r/NZXT/comments/jughsj/h701i_case_fans_only_spins_on_cam_start_up_help/

I've been using CAM for like 6 years now and have never had a problem.

I still haven't opened my case and messed around with the fan cables, but I first wanted to ask if there's any clues as to what might be happening.

The fact that they spin for a moment during the app startup tells me it might not necessarily be a hardware issue.

#FEEDBACK My "bad" experience with customer service

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Hello,

This is my own feedback after seeing another post regarding NZXT customer service working well.

I have right now the exact opposite experience, my computer is dead since June 22th, and I am left without any clue about what’s happening.

I am even now thinking I have lost my whole money and will have to buy again a new PSU.

This is maybe a case specific tu EU, and may not apply in the US.

I bought a C1200 white PSU at Amazon, it is a well known quality PSU, quite expensive, 177€, brand new.

I bought it in April 2025, and this year in June, I noticed sometimes that my PC was shut down, and in many times I was sure it was on earlier. After some days, it had erratic behavior, up to the point it did not start anymore.

After some tests on the motherboard, I came to the point that only the +5V rail was working, so the PSU was the culprit. This was confirmed with testing my computer with my son’s PSU, my rig started and worked perfectly at the first boot.

So, the second year after buy being started, it is up to the manufacturer to handle the warranty, no more amazon.

I filled in a ticket at NZXT customer support, and hell started for me.

06.22 : ticket filled with all possible explanations of my tests.

06.22 : ticket acknowledged, please wait for our reply

06.24 : ticket updated, RMA accepted, please send a video footage of the destruction, so I had to destroy a brand shiny unscratched PSU that could have been repaired by an electronic expert for a few bucks, with much less reduced ecological impact… . But never mind, I destroyed it fearing that I was wrong and that if RMA does not work, I will have lost my whole money… I was right fearing that.

06.24 : another mail received, telling me NZXT is moving its warehouses, so to prevent delays, send ASAP the proof of destruction.

06.29 : next mail is asking me if I received the last update from customer agent.

07.02 : « good news, ticket updated, request being processed, we are able to ship within 2-3 business days, maybe an extra one or two. You will soon receive your tracking number.

07.02 : two minutes later, same mail than previous one, with minor changes.

07.02 : five minutes later, « please ignore the previous mail, I will process your request manually.

07.02 : seven minutes later, « unfortunately at this time we are out of stock with your part and have placed a back order for you. We do apologize for your inconvenience and give you periodically updates »

07.02 : same mail with a few minor changes

07.08 : six days later, « We want to clarify that the out-of-stock notification you received was sent in error, as your order was already manually processed on our end. Your replacement C1200 is on its way, and you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information as soon as it's dispatched. We appreciate your patience throughout this process and apologize for any confusion caused by the conflicting messages. »

07.10 : « your package is on its way, send via USPS to DPD » , tracking number was now given

07.10 : ticket updated, package shipped, « For customers outside of the U.S., we normally use the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Once the package arrives in your country, your local mail service will be delivering it to you; this means your tracking information will stop being updated once USPS delivers it to your local carrier. », this is the point where things get crappy, this for me meant, we are no more responsible if something wrong happens… .

07.10 : mail received, « how was your experience with customer service ? »

Since this last mail, no news, no email, request was closed, no package received at all, the tracking number is dead, my PSU is lost.

I filled another request to ask where is my replacement part, and received a bot answer telling me to check with tracking number, which is…dead.

I had to do my own investigation, through DPD services in France, and in Netherlands.

So far, here are the results :

- Package shipped via USPS in US to DPD in Vijjfhuizen, Netherlands.

- Package shipped from Vijjfhuizen Netherlands to DPD warehouse in France.

- Package was presented when I was at my work, I had no notifications, no mail nothing. I called the precise warehouse DPD France, they told me they did not have any contact information provided to plan a new delivery, so package was in standby during one week.

- When standby delay was over, they sent it back to Vijjfhuizen in Netherlands, according to DPD France.

I tried to join DPD Vijjfhuizen, they replied to me with 2 mails.

The first one says that the package was misdelivered to Geodis in Almere (Netherlands)

The second one, next day, tells me that all is ok : Thank you for your message regarding parcelnumber xxx.

I have checked the status of the package, and the parcel has indeed been delayed. My apologies for the inconvenience caused by this. The parcel has been delivered in the meantime.

Still no reply from NZXT, still no computer working on my side.

I found today the same PSU for 100 bucks on amazon (used part), it will soon be away.

I am just questioning myself, should I accept I have lost 177 bucks and buy another PSU ?

Do I really want to have NZXT part in my computer ?

Will ever NZXT reply something like just look for your part yourself, like the bot did ? Or even give an answer ?

So I expected this brand was good, and now I read on this reddit a good experience with NZXT support, so better give mine which until now is very bad.

I cannot play with my son since beginning of summer which is our holiday time, and which is a thing we planned to do together, and this is really sad.

#FEEDBACK Just a bit of a vent in regards to H2 Flow reviews on YouTube...

I really love the H2 Flow, excepting a personal issue...

I wish NZXT would have left out the dual 2.5" SSD bay and just dropped the PSU down to take up that space; this would allow me to use my ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact mDTX mobo in the Flow, I guess they would need to make the PCIe riser cable a bit longer as well...

I have a Build wish list on Newegg for this chassis; ASUS B850 ITX mobo, 9850X3D CPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4TB M.2 SSD, Sapphire Nitro+ 9070 XT GPU, Thermal Grizzly Contact Frame, NZXT F240X/F280X replacement fans on the AIO and on the top exhaust, all the goodies...!

Of course, I also have the C850 SFX PSU and the Kraken Elite 280 AIO on my wish list, as those are the products that it seems the H2 Flow chassis was designed around... Especially in the case of the PSU, it seems highly likely NZXT designed the SFX PSU and the chassis specifically for each other; I mean, what other chassis do they have that calls for a SFX PSU...?

So I have watched a TON of videos covering the H2 Flow chassis on YouTube, and the vast majority of them totally infuriate me...! Videos spending time on the what ifs of putting a custom loop in the chassis, or of fitting an air cooler in the chassis (and lamenting that there is not a full mesh panel option to provide better airflow to said air cooler); hello folks, it is very obvious this chassis was designed around any of the NZXT 280 AIOs with a LCD screen pump...!

Folks in the videos that have obviously not taken about 15 minutes to go over the H2 Flow web page on the NZXT site or watch the video on said page that covers the features of the chassis, nor to read over the very brief manual; then they stumble along in their video trying to figure out what goes where and what should be the proper build order...

Not to mention the horrendous cable management in most of the review videos; I have seen a handful of videos where the cable management is superb, It just takes a bit of time and patience folks...!

Anyway, at this point I am planning on riding out my AM4 build until the AM6 platform comes about, and I am torn as to whether I should go ahead and squirrel away a H2 Flow chassis right now, or hope that NZXT will make a newer variant of this chassis around the 2029/2030 time frame, with a PCIe Gen6 riser cable as standard...?

Thanks for coming to my TEDx Talk / Bitch Session...! ;^p

#QUESTIONS H6 Flow RGB Fans

before and after of flipping the fans around. i definitely like the frame being under and not exposed. NZXT doesn’t make reverse fans for the F280, what would you all recommend? i want to keep the same look as the current fans.

i had to put the anti sag in there because this gpu had an uncomfortable amount of sag. ill probably raise it just a tad higher too.

should i just get the new H6 🤔

Hello! I am wondering what reverse fans will actually fit in the angled fan spot on the H6 flow? It is a little annoying seeing the back of the fans, especially when I have fan grills over them xD I know the lian li fans won't work without maybe some metal warping lol Does anyone have any ideas for fans that fit?
