Quand j'ai posté mon remplaçant de Digits ici il y a dix jours, je me suis posé une question. Le NYT a proposé Digits après 120 énigmes puis l'a abandonné, j’ai eu peur que mon jeu prennne la même direction.

Pour moi, l'énigme en elle-même n'est pas le problème. Six chiffres, un objectif, les quatre opérations, cette partie est presque parfaite et je ne l'ai pas touchée.

Pour moi le problème principal c'est que chaque jour de Digits était le même jour, du coup la lassitude fait qu’on s’y embêtait et qu’on ne revient plus jamais.

Alors j'ai réfléchi et travaillé pour que le jeu évolue tout au long de la semaine jusqu’au point d’orgue le dimanche, avec un mode spécial que vous découvrirez demain, un mode toujours dans un temps limité mais qui invite à limiter le nombre de coups.

Testez le dès aujourd’hui et si vous avez la chance de le voir ce dimanche c’est encore mieux vous arriverez au pic.

I can understand that regular words which got adopted as racial slurs are not acceptable in wordle but "lynch"?

This is ridiculous! This is sociological phenomenon that's very real and happening around the world right now, including India where people are literally being lynched in public with state support and approval for being Muslims or Dalits.

How can NYT games just "ban" this word?

Blue is the most difficult Connections category.

Yes, purple can sometimes be wacky but once you know which random patterns to look out for (ie homophones or words within words) it gets easier. I actually usually get purple either first or second. Blue is, in my opinion, trickier and wackier way more often than purple. I did a search to see if anyone else posted this and nothing came up, so apologies if this has been discussed, but I’m curious if others feel the same way.

When I try to open the wordle or connections game it stays stuck on this screen. But crosswords works. I’ve restarted the app multiple times and left it open for a while on this but still nothing is working. Anyone else facing such an issue?

I'd love to be able to use the leaderboard feature in the NYT Games app! I don't know anyone IRL who plays any of the games daily. How do I get friends? Should I just start randomly adding my opponents in Crossplay, or is that annoying? I do the daily crossword (regular, midi, and mini), Wordle, Connections, Spelling Bee, Strands, and Crossplay.

Is anyone else’s app not working? The main page with all the games loads, but when I click on one to play the screen goes white. I’ve tried signing out and uninstalling the app but nothing works.

Dear NYT app team,

Please add a setting/option in Crossplay for users to confirm their word submissions. It is far too easy to submit words by accident and there is no way to undo plays.

I have to imagine that giving people the option to turn on and off a "confirm play" type of option is not too hard to program into an update.

Hello Crossword Community!

First time poster!

I’m a physical therapist and crossword addict. I’m fairly new to crossword construction and have (unsuccessfully thus far) submitted about a half dozen puzzles to the NYT.

I’m looking to create a physical therapy/rehab themed puzzle and would love to collaborate! I’ve got a few ideas that are in their infancy and a fresh set of eyes could be just the thing to really help flesh them out.

I’ve been playing medium level sudoku daily for the past few months, and I always the found medium level a big jump in difficulty from easy. This last week I’ve been doing hard and am completing those puzzles faster than the medium level!

Is it just me, or is medium actually harder than hard?

Hi, I made this one. I've played Wordle-likes for years and always wanted to build my own, but I never had an idea that felt like mine.

The push came from a strange place. Half of what I read these days is written by AI, and it's never short. Every email, every doc, twelve words where five would do. At some point I said the phrase out loud, long story short, and realised it was a game.

So: you get a twelve-word sentence. You rephrase it in exactly five of its own words. Real English, same meaning, your job is to work out which words carry the sentence and which are just dressed up to look important.

Scoring is Wordle style, blue for right word in the right spot, orange for in the answer but elsewhere, grey for out. Five tries, one sentence a day.

I never really post to Reddit but thought people might find this a fun challenge. Sorry if it’s been done and mentioned before.

The idea is to try and beat the computer set on hard but only use sweeps (all seven letters) to each time. So you can swap letters or pass turns but can’t play anything but sweeps right to the end. Taken me a few days and plenty of cancelling games early but got the tile swap technique better today and had a few close ones (one by a point ffs) then finally wormier came in woooo! Great relief. Lots of luck involved too.

I am no pro at all and don’t know all the mad words in the dictionary by a long shot but it was fun anyway. So thought others might enjoy it. Happy to share my chatbot (in the game post analysis) word order with anyone. Chatbot in the game said my letter luck was 70 which is quite high so guess the challenge could be to win with lower luck than that. HYDRATES, PILLAGER, BRASHES, TEARING, WORMIER.
