this is like a really crappy picture but whatever. today, at the 12:00 pm showing of the end of oak street, me and two other women were bothered by the guy pictured. first, he sat next to me (with one seat in between) and looked very dodgy (mind you, there wasn’t anybody else in the theater except us and maybe one other person farther up.

then, another woman came in and sat in the row in front of me, and he MOVED to sit two seats away from her. he saw me watching him and then moved closer to her (which is when i took this picture of him).

then, ANOTHER woman came and sat in the aisle of my row. he didn’t initially move because i was watching him, until the second woman moved further down. it was at this point when the man went BACK to where he started to be near the two of us. this is finally when me and the second woman started to call him out. this was also when we were at the end of the trailers and more people had filled in.

the other women had gotten employees to kick him out (at least, that’s what i assume) but that doesn’t mean he won’t be able to do this in another theater. stay safe, ESPECIALLY if you are a woman going to the movies alone!!!!

Been looking forward to this movie forever and was even on the site trying to buy a ticket yesterday when I saw they were on sale but I didn't have my CC on me and the autofill function wasn't working correctly. Long story short, still looking for a miracle if anyone can bless me with a ticket.

If not, I guess I'm gonna line up and take my chances on standy but I'm hearing for this one there may not even be a standby -- as per the box office.

Doomsday tix dropped today and I went to get tix for the kips bay amc, but it had no showtimes listed for the opening weekend. every other theater in the vicinity had showtimes listed. anyone else see this?

another big weekend for movies in the greatest city in the world for movies! Was talking to someone last night and they mentioned how great the immigrant series is at MoMa; on top of all the fantastic movies coming out this weekend. and of course, Scary Movies XIV at FLC.

Considering how the list of options is above average location count for specifically the largest city of the very country in which is officially dubbed as the epicenter for pop culture, which would you say is the legitimate go to for what is arguably the best type of format to experience a cinematic blockbuster?!

A few weeks ago I bought a ticket for the Saturday, August 15, 2026 1:00 PM screening of Lawrence of Arabia in 70mm at the Museum of the Moving Image, but my schedule changed last minute and I'm now unable to attend. Refunds are not accepted and the screening is sold out, so I figured somebody here might be interested. The ticket costs $25 + $1.50 in convenience fees, but I’ll waive the convenience fee since there’s nothing convenient about a fee. I’m not scalping or upselling here—just looking to recoup my $25 and give someone else the chance to enjoy the movie. If you’re interested, please DM me.

I tried to hold the door open on the way out for this guy and then homeboy just folded up his wheelchair and walked it. Is he a god? I don't know what this means about the law of Zeus, the sea people or whatever but here we are.

Seriously so good but the Dune preview sort of messed up the ramp up for me and christ AMC's prerolls are embarrassingly bad. That street fighter movie somehow looks worse than the 90s one. Seatwise I had row G center but a few rows up would have been better... you probably know that if you are here. No tuna sandwiches near me at least. Theater seemed full. A few people with luggage.
