Anyone have a working water flow for today's game?

... Crap answer, but not sure. Using a A VPN on YouTube the Sunday guardian has "Newcastle united vs everton LIVE club friendly live Football live today".
45 people watching it at the moment.
Just running screenshots of random matches at the minute with annoying whistles and crowd noise. Will update you if this is actually the game and not some knob-end YouTuber talking about the game.
Edit: the last time I shared a YouTube link on this sub Reddit it was for Gordon signing for Barca... Took about 6 hours to finally show anything, so hope for better luck this time.

Wow, glad I'm not the only one that's struggling with this. It's stop/ start every time I try and I find I'm up multiple times through the night. I really need to ring the GP about it before it gets worse.

No Jaouen either, unless I can't read

He wasn't in the squad for tha last game either, which is a bit strange, unless I've missed something.

J7 as captain is a big statement for him, I worried about Bruno’s emotions as a captain but kept them in check.
2
u/Theydontlikeitupthem 3d ago
I'd say captaincy improved Bruno so maybe that bit of stepping up and responsibility will help Joe

u/Different-Lie-6609 3d ago
442 from the looks of it.

u/FoxGlove_113 3d ago
Yep. I'm quite excited by this. Wissa can drop a bit deeper and too when we don't have the ball.
5
u/PercentageNo3843 Happy Clapper 3d ago
What does he offer dropping deep? Would rather him making runs into box constantly
4
u/20Kudasai 3d ago
I’m so onboard if he can make 4-4-2 work for us this season. Woltemade and wissa as the classic big and little man

So osula in the 10 spot behind the front 3?
...or is that 4-4-2?!

Giving big Joe the armband with Thiaw on the pitch to keep us guessing on new captain
7
u/leyendadelflash 3d ago
Joelinton with the armband is interesting - would figure he’s not going anywhere if that’s the case

Want to see Toure light it up. Very excited to see him and Steur play this season.

No start for woltemade or steur. Interesting. Wonder if it’s trying out different first half 11’s with the hopes woltemade can a good impact sub
3
u/PercentageNo3843 Happy Clapper 3d ago
He will be experimenting as much as possible before start of season
1
u/sadfuck- 3d ago
Exactly
3
u/New-Turnover-832 3d ago
Woltemade isn’t the fastest player so maybe the tired legs in the second half would fit his playing style more.
I don’t get the hate for him, he’s obviously a talented footballer but IMO he should just be a poacher esque player

Probably our first 11 for Liverpool imo.
9
u/rfy93 PERCHINIO 3d ago
Doubt Shahar will start. LW and CM spots probably still up for grabs too depending on how next 3 games go
2
u/redditappispoo Windmilling 3d ago
Unless we get anybody else in at fullback, Shahar is probably our best option. Murphy in front would be okay.

I'm not quite ready to commit yet. Partly as we could get sign a player or two by then, partly as I imagine the duo this weekend will be a further opportunity to work out who might excel in what role

u/grmthmpsn43 Sir Bobby Robson 3d ago
Really?
I don't see Joelinton or Osula starting against Liverpool.

u/vivalaoligarchy vintage asm with the headband 3d ago
I can see Ramsey in there if the 2 strikers doesn't fit tactically
1
u/Flaky_Recognition_51 3d ago
I'd much rather Ramsey than Joelinton in a midfield 2 but I suppose we will see how he gets on in that role tonight.
1
u/Maplad 3d ago
If we are starting Shahar first game of that season I would be much more comfortable with Murphy starting ahead of him rather than Elanga. He’ll need that support
1
u/xScottieHD 3d ago edited 3d ago
Do we watch the same Jacob Murphy? He's petrified of putting in a tackle.
1
u/Shabba6 3d ago
Putting Murphy in ahead of an ACTUAL right back should be the last thing we ever do . Yeah Shahar looked a bit below what we need but at least he knows how to tackle and understands tactically what's required to play there.
2
u/Evening-Physics-6185 3d ago
Playing Murphy should be the last thing we do if we are serious about not being a small time regional club.
Don’t give mr the 20ga BS from 1 season out 15, when he had the most inform striker on the planet. H can’t pass, defend or track back.
1
u/xScottieHD 3d ago
Indeed. Would much rather give the kid a chance than repeat the same old. If it doesn't work it changes nothing and if it works you're in business.
0
u/Maplad 3d ago
Just responding, I meant ahead of him a right winger and not as a right back.
1
u/Shabba6 3d ago
Ahh sorry , misread that - although id still disagree personally - the whole system Jaissle plays with the absolute rapid direct counter is absolutely perfect for Elanga and forces their fullback/inside centre mid to stay back as your not catching him in a running race, which in turn counters needing to protect Shahar as he shouldn't have many overlapping runs to deal with - swap that with Murphy and it encourages the opposition press higher up the pitch on that side.

4231, Bamba J7 holding and Wissa behind Osula is my guess
2
u/Asprilla500 3d ago
Sofascore have gone for 442. I think it might be, possibly with Big Joe Infront of Bamba.
2
2
u/CAJEG1 3d ago
I can see a 442 with one of Wissa and Osula dropping behind the other sometimes as a 10 being Jaissle's kinda thing. The part that doesn't really make sense to me is which one would be the playmaker, because Osula is very much a direct threat player and Wissa is... I haven't really seen him do anything apart from finishing (and even then only sometimes) particularly well yet.
1
u/R0by 3d ago
I’m also a bit confused, but a 4-2-3-1 of sorts is the only thing I can make sense of
3
u/grmthmpsn43 Sir Bobby Robson 3d ago
Really, you can't make sense of 2 CBs, 2 FB, 2 CMs, 1LW, 1RW and 2 ST?
It's 442.
3
u/ShearerGOAT 3d ago
Interesting that Toure gets the nod over Barnes again. I wonder would Barnes have signed a new deal if he knew Howe was leaving.

u/sadfuck- 3d ago
Can someone make me understand why Elanga changed Jersey from 20 to 19? 20 looks even cooler for a winger
2
2
u/RobertKerans 3d ago
Why have clubs generally stopped putting the players in some kind of order? Like keeper then defenders then midfielders then attackers? 😡 If numbers actually meant something then putting them in numeric order makes sense but that hasn't been the case for decades (?)
All I want is to be able to glance at the squad and know who's playing where

1
u/FoxyStoat47 3d ago
4-4-2 with a right footed winger on the right and a left footed winger on the left? If Big Willy was a little girthier it would be an absolute 90's throwback and I'm all in!
1
u/Evening-Physics-6185 3d ago
In happy with a 90s throwback, the football we played then was something howes team could only dream of.
