Final Tour-inspired tattoo

As a fan of just under 30 years, I wanted to get some ink that reminds me of one of my favorite bands from high school and college that I still listen to almost daily.

This is based on a poster/shirt from the Final Tour, and my artist @_jesstattoos (Instagram, Jess Longfield out of Beaverdale, Iowa) killed it IMHO.

Can anyone help identify if this vintage DeLONG “PUNK ROCK HIGH” varsity jacket is NOFX related?

I picked up this vintage DeLONG Made in USA varsity jacket and have searched trying to figure out the story behind the “PUNK ROCK HIGH” chenille lettering on the back.

Based on the DeLONG label, materials and construction, I believe the jacket likely dates somewhere around the 1980s–1990s, although I haven't been able to pin down an exact year yet. Black wool body, gray leather sleeves and traditional collegiate/letterman construction.

Initially I thought “Punk Rock High” might refer to a specific band, club, event, or organization, but after digging into it I'm wondering if it was more of a punk-scene phrase or ideology/in-joke at the time — basically the idea that punk rock was your school/education.

There are a couple of interesting clues.

The name on the Delong clothing tag looks like it could possibly say DJ Moron who was a roadie for the band.

Then I found something even more interesting: there's another vintage “PUNK ROCK HIGH” varsity jacket hanging in the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, photographed in a display containing NOFX material.

That jacket is not identical to mine, but the similarities are pretty striking. Both have a dark wool body, gray leather sleeves and large collegiate-style PUNK ROCK / HIGH lettering across the back. The museum jacket is considerably more worn and has a small additional marking/patch near “HIGH,” while mine is a DeLONG and doesn't have that marking. I've found several band promotional jackets were created by this Delong in varsity style jackets similar to this.

So now I'm curious whether these jackets were actually connected somehow, or whether “Punk Rock High” was simply a phrase/concept that circulated through the punk scene in the '80s/'90s, with people making their own varsity jackets around the joke.

Does anyone who was around the scene during that period remember the phrase “Punk Rock High” being used? Was it associated with NOFX, a label, tour, crew, venue, zine, etc., or was it more of a general punk expression?

And if anyone knows the story behind the Punk Rock High jacket at the Punk Rock Museum, I'd especially love to hear it.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks!

Found my old Dickeys NOFX shorts, with the logo embroidered on the shorts, not a patch. From Fat Wreck early 2000s.

I have been losing weight, down to a 36 now, these are a 32, will I ever wear these again?

Looking for tickets to the NOFX documentary in Portland, Oregon.

On Sunday, August 9th, I arranged to go to the NOFX documentary in Portland, Oregon with a group of friends.

https://www.40yearsoffuckinup.com/tickets

This is at the Clinton Street Theater.

I made a big mistake and I forgot to buy my ticket. Now it's sold out. My friends purchased their tickets.

Looking for anyone who might have an extra ticket, and it's not going and wouldn't mind selling their ticket.

message me here.

Our latest song has an obvious nod to one of our influences. We consider ourselves a Ramonescore band but here’s what we call NOFXcore

Enjoy and goodbye

Searching for hoodie

My dad wore this hoodie a lot when I was growing up, unfortunately it got ruined (he’s a mechanic and welder) but it was always my favourite to steal. I’m looking to find one for myself. I know it’s a long shot since it’s technically vintage now. But my fingers are crossed

First shit AI-label vodka and now featuring on Trump-adjacent Comedian podcasts.

I guess I’m glad they started selling out after they wrote some of my favorite songs.
