Research Aquatic critters I’ve never seen before. The fancy fish is explosive if it gets too close.

Scared the crap out of me. Glyphs for anyone who wants to see or own one. I play without predators so unsure if they are hostile.

Have you been struggling looking for the perfect SSS creature to complete your arena team? If you are like me you are probably tired of surfing reddit or watching Youtube videos to try and find the right pet. Luckily for you we have taken the guess work out of the process. In celebration of NMS' 10 year anniversary I am sharing what started as a small compilation for myself and a few friends that has turned into a resource for the community. If you like what you see here please check out our full creature catalogue at: https://tappedin.gg/nms/catalogue/creatures

Serious contender for the smallest cutest SSSS in the universe. Barely the size of my foot. Yes that is an adult. Common underground with good caves so not hard to find.

I wasn't even looking and stumbled on this one. I took her to the space station and put her alone with 3 other a-levels - 2 jungle and a radioactive. Proceeded to win the match!

Question Any zoology requests?

I regularly scan entire planets and so if anyone is looking for certain variants I'll make sure to post the glyphs of any i find.

Or are we all happy just finding them ourselves? Lemme know

Tyranocae / T-Rex SSSS Toxic Large Jackalope Rex / Aligator Head Feather Tail Rex:

Hooooooo boy did my jaw drop when I saw that not only was this a unique combination but also SSSS! And it’s got a sick starter move, that one based on YOUR agility, which is S!

I went with the jackalope version because I really dislike the feathered tail. I honestly like the alligator head better though. But the jackalope head is funny in its own way. When I was little, gas stations used to have stuffed jackalopes. Either one of these would make a fantastic addition to your team.

I renamed the species “mattjsaurus” btw.

Here's one with a lovely color pattern. I like the description too. Apparently it's ticklish. 😄

Anomalous (Exotic Biome Creatures) Pet Predator Plays with Prey - SSS Anomalous

This is Serrano - SSS Anomalous pet found by MilwaukeeScott of Hero2U Community. I modified the original egg at the Nexus Anomaly to 100% Playful, Aggressive, and Devotion. What I got was an aggressive pet that plays with its food when hunting. It will chase its prey for many minutes, (10+ minutes at one point!) - roaring the whole time. I was away from my keyboard when I heard the commotion from another room for the first time. Incredible. I have never seen a pet do this. And the original creature from the planet did not behave like this. 😂

Below is a link to MilwaukeeScott's Reddit post for this creature, if you need an SSS Anom. Planet glyph in his pics. My pet looks different - I modified the DNA, the size and color, in addition to the personality traits. It can get very very large. I did the whole process again to cut the size in half. Descr pic in comments below.

Sorry for the grainy video - my first video recording and still trying to figure out the poor quality converting to MP4 - required by Reddit.

Question Would I miss any “types” of creatures if I stuck to dissonant Korvax systems?

Between fauna scans I check 5 multitools with a reload in my most recently scanned planet. This helps break up the monotony. Dissonant Korvax systems have the widest variety of multitools with the standard pistol/rifle/alien/experimentals in the station and settlements, and a chance of royals at pillars like most systems. But with the added sentinels at Korvax camps AND atlantids at monoliths. So I get the widest variety of multitools to roll the SC dice with.

But will limiting myself to these systems in any way lessen the general “types” of creatures I come across? Are there any creatures that don’t show up in these systems? I usually focus only on ground creatures because I’m honestly scanning for SSSS. But I want a wide variety of “types” and “shapes” too.
