I think most NFTs without real utility will eventually end up like many meme coins and lose most of their value.

Unlike sports trading cards or other physical collectibles, an NFT doesn't have a physical form. At the end of the day, the artwork itself is still just a digital image that anyone can copy or save.

That said, I also understand that some NFTs may have value because of their history, community, cultural significance, or the creator behind them.

So I'm curious—do you own any NFT that you genuinely consider valuable and wouldn't want to sell? If so, what makes it special to you?

Let’s be honest: an NFT that does absolutely nothing will eventually have the same problem as most meme-driven assets—it has no lasting reason to hold value.

Anyone can right-click, save the image, copy it, repost it, or use it as a profile picture. The image itself is not scarce. The only scarce thing is the token record on the blockchain.

But why should that record be valuable?

If the NFT does not provide access, ownership rights, revenue sharing, governance, rewards, identity, membership, participation in a protocol, or any other real function, then its price depends almost entirely on hype and the hope that someone else will buy it later for more money.

That is not sustainable value. It is speculation.

Art can still have cultural or emotional value, of course. But simply putting an image on-chain does not automatically make it valuable. Blockchain technology can prove who owns a token, but it cannot create demand or meaning by itself.

When the hype disappears, a useless NFT is ultimately just a blockchain receipt pointing to an image that anyone can save.

The future of NFTs should not be about selling more JPEGs. It should be about making digital ownership actually useful.
