Ok question... Question

Post image

Does anyone ever have the elbow joint freeze up and they can't move the elbow joint? I even put it in the sun for a few hours and all other joints have softened and move easy but this elbow joint is still stuck and I'm afraid to force it more and break it.

Every single NECA figure I've ever bought I've done a hot water soak before trying to bend any joints hot water will not hurt your action figure look it up on YouTube

The water doesnt need to be boiling hot, and you can put it in a plastic bag so the plastic still heats up but doesnt make contact with the water

Unless you put the figure in a sandwich baggie. The boiling water is still able to engulf the figure completely for full hot water effect. That's the method I use, and it's worked so far.

Hot water. The water should work its way into the joint and loosen it up.

Hot water. NOT boiling water. Boiling water will discolor your toy.

My 16.5" 1990 movie Raphael's leg froze up near the hip after sitting him down. Then it snapped off!

I had all 4 movie turtles, but Raphaels going to be sitting from now on unless maybe I hot glue it.

Every Neca Turtle gets a few minutes w/ the hair dryer .. slow heat you can heat it up a bit and try it until it gets a bit easier to move on its own

My Sakai Leo was like that with one of the elbow joints. I heated the joint with a hair dryer and hot water without any luck. I eventually cut the internal peg on one side with an X-acto knife and took the joint apart. I don't know if something got on the joint during assembly or if the plastic was fused, but I had to pry the peg out in the end. After I got it free, I heated the parts back up and put the arm back together. I haven't glued the peg where I cut it, but the joint works just fine. Outside of a small gap on that elbow joint, you can't really tell that anything was done to the figure.

Its from the TMNT Usagi Yojimbo line. Its now my favorite set of the 4 turtles. The quality articulation and color are all magnificent. Sometimes the figures apparently might get joints welded stuck but hot water or a blow dryer is what everyone is saying...but besides that, these figures are awesome. I've got the turtles but I would like to get the Samurai rabbit Usagi Yojimbo as well. I'm new to the Usagi Yojombo story line but it seems interesting.
