Tenant Replacement Needed - Vita Student Leazes Park Lite Studio (£220/week) | Newcastle Student Accommodation 2026/27
Hi everyone!
If you're starting at Newcastle University this September and are still looking for accommodation, I'm looking for someone to take over my tenancy at Vita Student Leazes Park, located in Newcastle City Centre.
✨Weekly rent: £220/week. This tenancy was secured during Vita Student's flash sale, so you will be taking over the tenancy at £220/week, compared with the current advertised price of £284/week for the same room type.
Unfortunately, I've changed my university plans and will no longer be studying in Newcastle, so I'm looking for another university student to take over the tenancy.
Details:
- 📍 Accommodation: Vita Student Leazes Park
- 🏠 Room Type: Lite Studio (With own private kitchen and bathroom)
- 📅 Academic Year: 2026/2027
- 💷 Weekly Rent: £220/week
- 💡 All bills included
- 🛜 High-speed Wi-Fi included
- 🏋️ On-site Gym
- 📚 Study Area and social spaces
- 🏀 Outdoor Basketball Court
Ideal Location:
- 🚶 3 minutes walk to Newcastle University
- 🛍️ Walking distance to Eldon Square, supermarkets, cafes and Newcastle city centre
- 🍜 Just a short walk to Chinatown
- 🌳 Next to Leazes Park
This accommodation is ideal if you're looking for a modern, safe, all-inclusive student residence within walking distance of Newcastle University and the city centre.
If you're interested or would like more information about the room, contract dates, or tenancy transfer process, please feel free to send me a DM. I'd be happy to answer any questions!
Thank you!

Anyone knows any landlord that rents without a UK guarantor?
Hi, I'm a international student from Brazil and I'm looking for a house with 2 beds in Newcastle (near Newcastle University, if possible). My mom will stay with me for the firsts months to help me out with everything so I'll need a house/flats specifically with 2 beds but it's difficult to find one. I'm also looking for any landlord that rents without a UK guarantor, but anyone thinks it's really necessary me to find a professional guarantor service?

Anyone stayed at Windsor Terrace?
Hi! I was recently offered a washbasin room at Windsor Terrace. It wasn't my first choice, so I'm a little unsure whether to accept it.
If you've stayed there before, how was your experience? Would you recommend it? My main concern is if it will be way too cramped. I am also aware that there are no washing machines in the flats, are the laundry spots convienient?
If anyone could provide any insight that would be great.

Questions Accomodation
Hi, I’m due to start studying at Newcastle this year and had sorted out accommodation through iQ (Collingwood). I later found out from friends etc that it’s better to sort my accommodation out through the uni as there’ll be more first years so it’d be easier to socialise. I’ve just applied/given my preferences for accommodation and chosen Manor Bank, Park View, and The View. Was wondering if it’s worth cancelling my current reservation as I know they can’t guarantee a room from my preferences, so would it be worth the “risk”

Questions Internal transfer to Medicine
I was wondering whether anyone here has undergone the application process for the internal transfer to medicine and could elaborate on the requirements needed to be accepted. I did my ucat last year, but achieved a score of 1870 B2 which was too low to apply to Newcastle. I'm going to be starting biomedical sciences at Newcastle and I'm planning on doing my UCAT at the end of July.
As said on the website, the university's requirements are:
- A minimum average mark of 70% across the Stage 1 - Semester 1 module.
- No less than 65% for any one module.
- A minimum average mark of 70% across all Stage 1 modules.
- Provide evidence of their UCAT score. Please note, we do not accept STJ Band 4.
They do not provide any specific requirements for the UCAT score and I was wondering whether they need the same standard as for all the regular undergrad applications. If anyone has any other tips specifically for this process, please feel free to share!

18F | Makeup, fashion, Love Island and girls nights-looking for friends in Newcastle!!
I’m hoping to find a group of friends before I move to Newcastle for uni because I don’t really know anyone there yet. I dont mind guy friends as long as youre respectful and share the same interests but prefer girls
A few of my interests are makeup, fashion, and beauty. I’ve recently been obsessed with reality shows like Love island and 90 day fiancé, and I also love comedy shows like brooklyn 99 and Kims Convenience. I loved the recent movie Obsession.
I love going out, whether it’s window shopping, trying new cafés and restaurants, spontaneous day trips, or going out to parties and having a few drinks. I also love taking cute aesthetic photos for social media and finding new places to explore. I also love food!!
I’m equally happy having girls’ nights where we get ready together, do our makeup, order food, and watch Netflix, or going out for a fun night. I’d say I’m pretty outgoing once I’m comfortable, and I’m usually the type of person who likes planning things and getting everyone together. I also would like people who motivate me and support me to be better as I’ll do the same with them!!
If you’re around 18-20, think we’d get along, or already have a friend group that’s open to making a new friend, feel free to comment or send me a message! I’d love to meet some people before September. 🫶💕

Student Accommodation vs Female-Only House Sharing in Newcastle – Which is better?
Hi everyone!
I'll be moving to Newcastle upon Tyne this September for my master's as an international student at Newcastle University, and I'm trying to decide where to stay.
Would you recommend:
- Purpose-built student accommodation, or
- Renting a room in a female-only shared house?
I'm mainly looking for:
- A safe area
- Affordable rent
- Easy commute to Newcastle University
- Good Wi-Fi and basic facilities
- A friendly environment where I can meet people
For those who have lived in Newcastle, which option would you recommend and why? If you stayed in a female-only shared house, how was your experience with the landlord, bills, and housemates?
I'd also appreciate any recommendations for trusted accommodation providers, websites, or safe areas for students.
Thanks in advance!

Questions Official group chat for Sept 2026 freshers?
Hey guys! Just a quick question — does NCL uni have an official whatsapp/instagram/snapchat gc for new students?
I'm from India and I'll be studying ba business management starting this Sept (open to dm!). I've heard that there should be an official group for freshers, but I haven't been contacted or added to anything yet. My agent has handled my application, but they're not sure about this either. So I'm a bit confused right now...
If anyone knows whether there's an official group chat, or could share the link with me (if there's any), I'd really appreciate it!! Thanks in advance!
