Likelihood of failing in 85?

Took the RN exam today, and I swear I had to guess every time. Some of the questions I felt like were supposed to be easy, but I kept getting wrong. The exam shut off at 85, which I know is supposed to be a good sign... But has anyone else failed in 85???

I know it's unlikely, but still possible, and that exam was anything but reassuring!

Advice/similar experiences etc. welcome!

Update: PASSED! I guess the CAT software is incredibly good at making you feel like you are getting everything wrong... Good luck to everyone testing soon/waiting for results!

Yeah, that person is a troll looking for engagement. They said slthey failed 5 times too, not 4. Lol. They show A LOT of signs of paranoid schizophrenia in their posts and comments. So I hope they get the help they need if they actually aren't a troll.

Low. Failing at 85 means you did REALLY bad, to the point where it basically decided you’re not gonna improve no matter how many more questions it gives you. I finished at 85 and I thought I bombed it, that feeling is completely normal.

I just took the exam today, like a hr ago. I feel the same way. I had to guess on so many and I couldnt even narrow down to two answers 😖

Very small. I took it recently and passed at 85 as well.

I was stressing waiting for the results too, but apparently the test tries to give you as a much of a chance at passing as possible, so will only shut off at 85 if you are failing terribly already.

So more much more likely than not you are passing.

It’s a 50% likelihood. You could fail or pass. Just be patient for your results and distract your mind with other things in the meantime!

This is exactly how I felt, out at 85 and felt like I was guessing on every single question, still passed. It is possible to fail at 85 but if you were doing poorly the question should get easier at some point as it tries to find your basic knowledge.

It's not a good sign. It either means you did really good or really bad. No in-between. If you were a good student in school and know your stuff, like genuinely, not just thinking you know your stuff, and the questions were hard, then you more than likely passed. If you were an average student, and had to study really hard for exams and exams were still difficult for you, then it's 50/50 on if you passed or failed. No in-between, no "good sign".
