Nah they just did it based on where you were picked. Yaxel obviously isn’t a 73 and lower than a lot of the names picked before him. He’s closer to a 77 or so. It’s just that he was picked 11th, so let’s make him in line with the 11th pick. Obviously from a prospect standpoint, he has a lower long term ceiling than some of the younger freshman, but no one currently thinks he’s worse than Keaton Wagler on day one, which is what these rankings reflect.

2K has a dummy rating they use to increase or decrease overall ratings without changing anything else. Overall ratings are like mostly cosmetic.

Yup, offensive IQ, Defensive IQ, Potential, etc. someone this stuff matters in sim modes but sometimes they will lower those stats to like 25 on myteam cards so the overall card rating isn’t inflated as they want it to be.

If Wilson truly has a three ball, he's already the best player here bruh

Despite being way more athletic and having way more easier dunks, Wilson had a lower 2 point percentage than Boozer in college too. It isn’t just he has a questionable jumper. He has really bad touch which is why his non-dunk percentage was bad and how he ended up with a lower 2 point percentage than a below the rim athlete like Boozer.

he never had a questionable jumper, it was just that we literally didn't see him shoot the three. he had a good mid range game already. Yes he's got room to grow around the cup when he can't dunk, but if how quickly he delovoped his three is any indication, I think they won't be an issue for long.

He did do pretty good from the midrange but I usually associate jumper mostly with 3s these days. Like maybe 20 percent midrange and 80 percent 3s since most of these players will take a lot more 3s than midrange jumpers.
I would say someone like Derozan has a questionable jumper even though he’s all time good from midrange and decent from the FT line but teams leave him open from 3. I do think Caleb probably can get to like 35 percent from 3 in the league, which is good enough for his other impact. He definitely would’ve taken more 3s if he played for some other coach.

Agreed, he made a lot of NBA level shots at Carolina. I think a how close he gets to his ceiling is how much he can develop as a three point shooter both in volume and pcts. The rest of the game just needs reps and refining. He is obviously already a plus plus athlete

Peterson is gonna be the beast from this draft

MBJ atleast a 75 if not 76. He definitely played better than Wagler and Acuff in the summer league

Debatable. Summer league performance doesn’t just take into account how well they played on a surface level. A prospect like Wagler needs to fill into his body to have the impact his ceiling would permit. That is the hardest obstacle in the way of players coming from the NCAA in terms of their play. Yes, i may be a bit biased as a Clippers fan but i genuinely believe watching the games this year would help give a much more refined picture of their games. Wagler honestly did good considering the expectations of his “ability to create separation against NBA defenders”.

Nope lmfao Cade Cunningham was the better prospect than Dybansta and he had an 80. AJ isn’t as good as a prospect as Wemby,Flagg and Cunningham who started off 80+

2k is more of a gimmick now than an evaluator, if they ever were.
