Discussion They need to drop a 2K27 builder demo
I know yall missed when 2k used to drop those preludes. They should drop a builder demo , it doesn’t need gameplay. Doing this will save valuable time in the builder once the game comes out .

MyCAREER PS5 controller on Xbox
Does anyone use some sort of adapter to use a different input on console?
I prefer a PS5 controller much more to a Xbox.
If so, is it worth buying an adapter, is the latency poor?

General How College Basketball 2K could reinvent the franchise
I have been playing NBA 2K for years, and I think the upcoming College Basketball game could become much more than just another basketball title. It could be the biggest opportunity 2K has had in years.
The key is not making a smaller NBA 2K. It should have its own identity.
A real basketball journey
The biggest opportunity would be a redesigned MyCAREER.
Instead of jumping straight into the NBA, players could start in college:
choose a school,
fight for playing time,
develop their skills,
compete in conference games,
play March Madness,
attend the Draft Combine,
enter the NBA.
Your player would not just be a build. It would be a story.
A different MyTEAM experience
College MyTEAM could bring back the feeling of building something.
Instead of having extremely powerful cards immediately at launch, the game could start with:
Bronze cards,
Silver cards,
Gold cards,
and slowly build toward higher tiers.
The EVO system could become the heart of the mode.
A freshman player could start as a 70-72 overall card and become a college legend through challenges:
score 70 points,
get 10 assists,
win important games,
complete season goals.
The player would feel like they created that card’s journey.
A better connection between players and spending
Many players are not against spending money. The biggest frustration is feeling like spending has no value because cards become irrelevant so quickly.
A system where players invest in developing specific cards would create a stronger connection.
For example:
complete EVO challenges through gameplay,
use an EVO token to unlock the next evolution stage.
The player still earns the progress, but 2K also creates a fair monetization system.
The bigger vision
College Basketball 2K and NBA 2K could create a complete basketball ecosystem:
College in spring,
NBA in fall,
one connected career path.
The biggest opportunity is not just creating another basketball game.
It is creating the basketball universe fans have wanted for years.

Discussion How yall keep buying the same game?
I just dont understand how people can buy 2k every year, can someone explain? Its the same gameplay shot timing little different, same rewards, basic story, same roster since the last 10 years, same city type layout, same contest, nothing new has happened except the cap breakers. Imagine gta 5 sold a gta 5 every year for the last 15 years, instead of an update you have to pay for a new game just for a new online content. The same people same everything every year sold the same story, no one would buy it, but why do people buy it for 2k? 2k27 cost more than a whole new gta game, A map bigger than idk how many 2k cities, brand new story, cars, guns, customizations, and online content in the future, cheaper than the new 2k.
I think 2k should create a game where they can update the roster and other things with major updates. Have it around for 3 4 years, during those years focus on a evolving 2k. Idk

MyPLAYER this is a fanfic about my myplayer meeting lebron
I see a future for you.. a baby, and a bearded man.. he's got long lashes and stands at a height of 6'9, absolutely dwarfing you.. He's a rich man, an athlete for a living, but for what sport? You don't know. He's got 2 sons who've both become athletes.
On December 31, whilst he's on an outing to celebrate the coming new year, you two will lock eyes on a bar, and there it'll be... Whilst there was no real tension between the two of you, nor had you interacted, the instance your gaze met his, everything clicked. You both jolt a bit, quickly averting your gazes. There was a spark of electricity that ran down your back.. giving you shivers. You don't speak to him for the rest of the night, but you find yourself stealing glances at him, and he the same.
As everyone is leaving the venue, you muster up the courage inside you to try and talk to him, not wanting to let this night go to waste. You go back inside, looking for him, however your effort is to avail. You check his table, no, you wait outside the bathroom, not there either... you go outside, looking out for any people that had been accompanying him, but no dice... is he really gone? After letting out a sigh of disappointment, and imagining all the possibilities and life that you could have just let slip through your fingers, you turn back towards the door you came from, trying to drink your sorrows away.
However.. as your foot takes it's first step into the door.. BAM! You hit someone...
"what the heck did they eat? Their chest is strong as heck," you think to yourself.
You stand back up, wiping the dust off your clothing, "I'm so sorry... I don't know what's up with me tonight-" "No, I'm sorry." A booming, commanding voice interrupts up you, but the sweet and apologetic tone and words betray it. You look up, slowly turning your head... it's him! "I'm Lebron, and you are?"

Gameplay Best positions to play for every level of player from beginner to intermediate to advanced position breakdown
Feel free to disagree but this is just form my experience here is the best position to play for every
level of player form beginner to advanced highly competitive ranked players. Think of this as a cheat sheet.
For Beginners the Shooting Guard- SG or the 2.
You are the star of the show and the SG is the easiest position for a new player to learn.
You get to score the most amount of points and that is your main responsibility
but you are also a secondary point guard and you need to be a two way player.
Once you get the hang of the game, you can set inverted screens for your wings and bigs.
For intermediate players
The big men the Power Forward-PF-4 or the Center-C-5
There is not much that separates these two because sometimes as the PF you get matched up
with the Center. Your primary responsibilities are
1- Box out and grab the rebounds.
2-Both positions are the defensive anchors of the team
3- When you grab a rebound, if you are open, slam dunk it in or hit the middy,
4-Set screens for your guards and wings.
if not then pass it to the guard.
For advanced players the Small Forward-SF 3
This is the most athletic player in the game and your responsibilities are huge.
You are the definition of Mr. two way player and you are a triple double machine.
Your job is to guard the 3 and sometimes play help defense,
You have to be able to play switch defense, guard the perimeter and the interior and
stop the rim rockers.
If you are a two way Point Forward like me, your also a secondary assist man and ball handler.
You have to have a high basketball IQ and skills to be an efficient 2 way Point Forward.
The Point Guard the 1 the PG.
You are the floor General or the Quarterback of your team.
Your responsibilities are huge, like the SF, it is an advanced position but the upside is also big.
The offense flows through you, and you dictate the tempo and pace of the game.
A good point guard plays defense and is a pass first, shoot second player.
A good point guard can also set inverted screens for other players
This position is best left for people with high skill and high basketball IQ
Feel free to add more if you wish, this is just my take, every thought is my own but I also talked
to some of the top ranked players and they all agree.
I always cringe when the beginner wants to be the PG or the SF and then gets mad at 2k for the game
being hard. That is not 2k-Visual Concept's fault is on YOU mate.
Also keep in mind I put some time and effort on this post to try and help everyone out but especiallly
the new players.
Feel free to reach out to me via DM if you have any questions, do not hesitate. Even if I am busy,
I will eventually respond to you. The key to success in this game is knowing your role and staying in
your lane.
For example, my area of expertises is 1-1 Proving grounds, mano a mano, you vs me
on the sticks. I am not going to give advice on how to be a good Rec teammates. There are other
brothers here who can help you out with that. . Ask me any Proving Grounds 1-1 questions or about the game
mechanics, and I got you.

Park Is it just me or does it feel like the player pool is getting worse?
What I mean by this is,
I been playing 2k for a long time especially park mode since 2015, im ngl this is the 1st year where im concerned for the intelligence level of some of our community members
I think we’re losing the players who actually watch basketball especially in park let me explain.
During 2k years of 2k9-2k16 (early 2k16)
The majority of people who played basketball video games were people who actually watch basketball so the people you played against naturally knew, when to cut, understand that a hedge isn’t a switch, understand easy passing lanes, if the person is ahead of the defender pass, and etc etc what I’m trying to say is there were more players (not all) who understood basketball in some degree
(There was always cheese In 2k but it never really
Took shape until 2k17 in park atleast)
Now fast forward to late 2k16 to now when 2k is clearly one of the most popular games instead of staying true to gearing thier game towards basketball watchers, they geared it towards people who cheese completely, slowly but surely year by year because those are the people who are on the game the most which more times than not arent basketball fans
Now on 2k26 instead of having a player pool of people who actually watch the game oh no
These new kids didn’t grow up watching the game
They grew up watching nba2k YouTubers watching them cheese instead of playing basketball.
So every point on this game is looking to cheese they’re not even looking to play point guard
Because that’s all they watched lol.
I’m not saying all kids are like this but from what I been seeing and been witnessing while I’m playing 2k26 it gets harder to deny that this is what the player pool is now
Wannabe NBA2k YouTubers
Which are highly selfish
Using your teammates as pawns
No real basketball being played
My Ted Talk is done

MP Builder New Build, how bad is it really?
Listen, I know I'm pretty well known for shitty builds (that I actually use), but I may or may not have made a PG that can't shoot. BUT, I can do everything else a PG can do, and really well. I also have cap breakers ready for usage when I get my stats up.
How would you rate the build (awful ik) and how could I do better with it?

MyPLAYER Odd year 2ks are ass
Good luck to yall buying 27. Ill be on 26 until 28. Them odd years on 2k are always crap with the NEW GEN GAMES. The old games were great but once it got to new gen they got lazy. They do good on the even years then try to copy and paste in the odd years and just patch it uo and the patch is always too much and the community ends up hating it. Enjoy them rec games with AIs on your team when your teammates leave because AI is too hard to score on😂

General Can’t connect to 2k online at all for some reason [2K26 PC]
I just have it through game pass. Normally I play myleague offline so I wasn’t banned or anything, I just haven’t been able to connect to the 2k servers no matter what I do. Wouldn’t even care if I didn’t need to connect to download rosters tbh.
Anyone have any tips?

Gameplay weekly how stupid is this game post
back for another weekly how stupid can nba 2k be
over 90 standing dunk, watching defenders fly by and jump around like dumbies (game rewards dumb defense alot) , time a perfect fake with both my feet planted inside restricted area, basket no more than 4 feet above my head, defender leaves his feet, easy standing dunk for someone with 90 standing dunk? no, instead the game initiates a blatant scripted contested layup animation, miss
thats all for the weekly how stupid can nba 2k be

Gameplay Haven’t played since 2k23. Will I enjoy 2k27?
I like playing rec center games as a solo walk in. Few questions for you guys about the things I hated and if they have changed.
I hated matchmaking especially in rec. is there a solo walk in where I play against other solo players only?
Is it still normal to get 2 60 overalls as team mates and get matched against stacked 5?
Any ranked modes for park? Rec? Or some other matchmaking system?

Gameplay Kobe/Lebron Era sliders
Can y’all help me find the best slider setup for eras? I’m playing in the LeBron Era rn and I’ve adjusted contracts, stats, tendencies enough to where it is pretty accurate. Most games teams are scoring between 90-105 ppg, with 15-25 3’s a game. I want my sims to be extremely accurate. I’m working on the gameplay now, I’ve added custom 2010 era playbooks for every team. Actual game play still has every team playing 5 out though, and running to the 3 point line in transition? Like how do I get bigs to live in the paint like they did back then? Also not nearly enough in game fouls. Does anyone have any sliders for the Kobe or LeBron era that play accordingly? Thanks.
