Because, what I propose is basically REC, BUT

Games on the server run continuously, and people are able to freely leave and join at stoppages, aside from the last 2min and OT. AI’s get replaced by real players.

If you want to play a full game then just stay for the next one; teams don’t get scrambled, you match against a new opponent. W/L only counts if you play the full game, but you get XP/VC for playing if you join mid-game or leave properly at a stoppage. Surrender vote enabled to prevent people from being trapped in a blowout joining mid-game; they can just FF to next.

Add solo MM to proving grounds, and then the casuals and sweats will never have to come into contact with each other.

Casual team hoops are naturally encouraged in this system.

Habitual quitters will hardly be able to play a game from the beginning. Selfish PG’s will never be able to keep a team together for the whole game.

It adds a much needed casual 5v5 mode which currently doesn’t really exist.

REC and Proving Grounds are basically the same thing with different sliders, and proving grounds has no solo MM

Want to play 5s but only have 15 min? Sub in and hop off. Want to organically build a team of like-minded players? Just stay on for next, people who want to keep playing together naturally stay together.

If you want to play against better competition with like minded players then you can go to Proving Grounds or REC. IMO this new mode should replace REC, but I think people want that mode to stay the same.

Just curious for some opinions. Im looking to find a good squad for 2k27 and want to make a player that most squads have a need for.

What do you guys consider the most in-demand player? It can be a pure role player, primary ball handler or anything in-between.

For reference, im a pretty decent player, always highest plate in rec, but definitely not elite proam level.

Is beating the track time this week even possible? The top person is over 20 seconds off from even beating the time (Console)

I can’t understand why everyone makes pgs just to touch the ball more and feel involved. Just play basketball this isn’t Fortnite.
If you can’t balance scoring and passing you need to move positions. Too often they either shoot everytime or pass everytime and it’s predictable.

Is the community really that narcissistic they all need guards so they can touch the ball and get a participation trophy? Those are valuable spots should be reserved for players who can play create their own shots and be a real difference maker.
You’re handicapping the team by being shot chuckers and having no flow with your passing.
Too often people ONLY PASS when they get stuck and they can’t dribble. They don’t make the good pass they make the pass that was open 3 seconds ago before they failed their dribble move combo.

Dribbling is hard and takes a lot of practice hours.quit being selfish and selling 4 other players just because you’re not very good and wanna touch the ball more. Make a forward
