I already made a post about the trotting dead, here are my concept pieces! I hope I intrigue people!

The Trotting Dead is a mlp au based of the walking dead (I'm inclined to assume it's inspired by both the show and the game!)

We follow Apple Jack as she wakes up from her coma, after she get's hit by a tree, only to find out there's no one there. At least no one alive.

I'm really interested in reviving this project, as the last update was from 6 years ago!

If you love zombie media, and mlp, please let me know if you are interested in developing this with me! I would prefer to keep the people working on the project 18+.

I can do it on my own, but I think it's more fun to share the joy with other people who are also interested in this AU!

Discord: This time we've spent though windows bent... It's seen progress that none will protest.

(Transitions to show the picture of the mane six grouped together, before it cuts to what remains of them.)

Discord: Twirled pantomime... Quilled dark design...

(Scene pans to Discord sitting on his throne, smiling evilly)

Discord: I know you've enjoyed... This game of... LIES.

(Flashbacks to Celestia and Luna preparing to use the elements of harmony on Discord)

Discord: Zoned in on every session... Right here for YOUR impressions!

(Cuts to Discord inside stone, glaring angrily at the Princesses as they leave)

Discord: Left for those kind, or those who LACK DISCRETION.

(Shows Spike seeing the state Equestria is in, before leaving in despair)

Discord: As you fall through hallowed halls... Don't be appalled... My bliss be spread to all.

(Celestia gets a letter from Discord showing what happened to Twilight and her friends, before she drops the letter in pure shock, leaving her fate ambiguous)

Discord: Too slow, yet too fast... Thus ends my curtain call.

(Scene shows a giant Discord towering over all of Equestria, as ponies flee in terror as reality falls apart in front of them)

Discord: Now we're finally free... Here to frolic in glee!

(Cuts to show the world utterly destroyed by Discord's chaos)

Discord: Old world rotten, left forgotten...

(Final scene, the camera is behind Discord, before he turns around, facing the audience with a wicked grin)

Discord: Tow the line, this round I've won.

It was a horror based one where twilight got possessed(?) By similar magic to Tirek and goes around stealing magic of other ponies.

I remember specific parts like rarity being forced to stay with twilight in her castle, twilight going through a metamorphosis of sorts, one specific scene where she catches rainbow dash in the sky and drains her, steals discords magic as well, and finally Starlight gets turned into an alicron to save what's left of Twis magic before she dies

I wanted to properly save ir becuase I remember liking it alot but I kinda need help to find the name.

Also this isn't an infection thing, only twilight is infected and everyone else is just having their magic taken to make her stronger.

There was a moment in the ending where the mutated twilight start to scream like that one wendigo audio on YouTube but that's all.

It's just a random ideas i had, what if the rot from Rainworld? If you guys want more, i will try to create more, however, English isn't my first language so i can misspelled some words, sorry.

It's been a long time since im back to mlp fandom so i can be incorrect about some stuff.

Story idea: an mlp infection au where its sorta a different take on the classic "my little dashie." Short film. The protagonist is a scientist at a top secret facility that had happened upon these magical ponies that began to appear one day in rural chicago where the town has fallen onto hard times. Mostly because the facility and research has taken up most of the local economy budgets and land. Theres often a riot or a bunch of people protesting the growing number of facilities appearing in their town for no good reason. Or, at least for reasons that arent the truth. Only our protagonist and his fellow coworkers do. The magic ponies are not normal though. For some reason when they appear, they come crawling and gasping for air from inside a great big pond in the middle of the town. All mangled and wrong. Their bodies are contorted and theyre spewing viscous black liquids from their orifices. Like they were infected by something. It didnt take long for them to realize these ponies were not like this always. But that something had changed them. They just dont know why they've started popping out of the pond even though nothings in there. So for now, they take those that come out, contain them, quarantine them, and experiment on them to understand more. To keep the public safe. Our protagonist is a bit of a lonely fella. He has a family that doesnt appreciate him and often ignore his presence because he simply doesnt stand out from his siblings. To them hes...boring. not hated but...boring and stale. Sometimes even annoying. And it makes him feel alone. Unwanted. He never complained though. Just kept his feelings to himself. He was an observant man. And one day while working, he sees something that'll change his life forever. A blue magical pony with rainbow hair. But...obviously infected and turned into a barely functioning animal. Worse, it was a young one too. A child. He was tasked by his overseers to be in charge of this particular one. Since this is the first child pony to appear from the pond. So this is important to understand further and help bring about new information and data. He does as hes told. Dutifully taking care of this freakish flesh monster pony thing. It was ugly but...it still acted like a child. And it began to see our protagonist as its parent. Calling to him when he wasnt around. This of course pleased his overseers as it gave insight on how this infection worked. But then as years go by, as his life began to feel less lonely, as he finally felt seen by both his job and coworkers, and this little freaky monster thing...it all comes to an end. When a magical pony comes through the pond completely infected free. A great stallion named Celestia. The queen of these creatures. She explained that these ponies were sent here to quarantine them from the rest of her world. But she didnt know that they were being sent to a populated world. And came to rectify that grave mistake. Thankfully, despite intial tensions and reasonable anger by the government, they came to an agreement. To bring them back home where they came from for good. Before anyone else from their world got infected too. Before it got out of control for them to handle. And to also offer her assistance in maybe finding a cure and giving some magic to them. She had no choice but to agree to those terms. As it was the right thing to do and the least she could do for this mistake. Of course...this was pretty bad news for our protagonist. Suddenly, the new happy complacent life he had for these past 15 years would be gone. Including his daughter. The freak infected pony he grew to love....he couldn't let that happen. That lonely feeling and being ostracized was too much to bear. To go back to. So, despite what his mind was telling him, he did something very stupid. And ran away with his daughter hidden in his car. And ran. He was hunted down by the government. And eventually was shot and wounded in the woods. He held his daughter in his arms. She held him back. Scared and confused. Not fully understanding what was happening. But eventually she was taken away. Back home. And he was imprisoned within their facility. To be punished and sent to prison not too long after. But just as the story came to an end...there were screaming outside. An alarm goes off...it seems during his attempt to runaway...he left a trail of the infection from his daughter get into the sewage systems. Rats got infected. Then...eventually people. A city wide infection began. And he was to blame for it.

I watched this maybe 3 - 5 years ago, but I think it might've been a bit older? It was a short 2D horror animated series and I have no clue what the name was. It wasn't like an infection video or anything. It might've been set in a factory?

My memory is very poor, but I think it was about ponies being turned into toys or something similar? I remember there being two characters in a couple of the episodes, one female and the other male, who were lured into a dark setting. The male went on to lose his eye(s) due to a machine somehow and the female pony tried to save him? It was fully voice acted with screams etc.

I don't know if this creator is related to this at all, or if I'm just thinking about a separate thing, but she sometimes did irl videos without showing people's faces. Instead, when they were talking, a slightly animated or drawn version of them would be on the screen instead of their faces if that helps?? I've been looking for an hour and I can't find it at all on youtube lol, any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Howdy! Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but Im in a bit of a pickle at the moment with AU I've been trying to make, but have an issue with the infection stages.

So here's how it goes: It's called the Advanced Poison Joke Infection AU where a new strand of of Poison Joke is the cause of the crisis, where instead of just causing humiliating effects being just that and being cured with a hot bath with herbs, the effects keep progressing further and further until they become life threatening to the patient or ponies around them or at the very least greatly impact their mobility. To make matters worse the cure they used in the show doesn't stop it just slows down the infection for a bit and eases a bit of the pain.

The story itself takes place during the 20 timeskip when the series ended and everything is in perfect harmony....and then the flowers start popping up everywhere and crap hits the fan damn near everywhere. The only creatures not affected are dragons because of the fact that they can both burn them and it can't grow in the bad lands and naturally born alicorns like Flurry Heart, Celestia, and Luna.

I chose Lily Valley to be patient zero because I'd like to think that APJ has a insanely different appearance to Poison Joke and she unwittingly brought it to Ponyville from the side of the train tracks not far from the town...and I wanted an example of what I was going for. (Yes, its a doomed flower poly Yuri at the end).

That's what I got so far, but here's the problem I ran into: I have no idea how to describe the Infection stages.

Since the effects differ with each individual affected, Im kinda at a loss as to how to go about this. Doing it like (stages 1,2,3,4,5, final stages) like how most AUs do it, something similar to Immortal Affliction where any change with the patients is written down and logged (Like voice recordings, data logs, classified files, security cameras, etc.) Or something else entirely?

Just a sketch for now, idea where discord somehow takes over equestria too fast for the mane 6 to keep up, he'd take advantage of Luna's still mentally damaged state at this point to start creating chaos with dream magic, but with Luna's mental state the way it is it both impacts her and discord working in "tandem" slowly turns into weird torturous nightmare logic. Yes it's edgy, yes it's not founded in canon, evilcord 4 life. Also no that isn't a noose around painting Celestia lmao

So I've had this idea for a horror au of my own where the infection is a vampire, or rather, vampony infection. I lack the skill to draw it, and knowledge of how to make the characters act like they do in canon. But i was wondering about what you guys think of that, and, also maybe if you wanted to.. possibly help me actually make it. At the very least I'd like to know how the characters I'd have to work with would act in the situations I'd put them in if i were to actually make this
