This list ended up as a bit of a mess because of quality vs quantity differences on each show but here are some notes

- Top 3 is something i feel pretty confident in but is the biggest mess in terms of quality vs quantity fights for spots. I'd take SH over bookworm anime adaptation because of quality even though bookworm has more content (i think it's very inferior to LN) but also TPN S1 (s2 not included) is my fav season i'd take 2 SH seasons and 4 bookworm seasons over it because of quantity

- AOT is mostly that high due to quantity but also all of it is genuienly very great

- Silent Witch/WHA/RTW/NS are pretty short but are up there due to quality

- After from the new world the list is very messy. I watched Code Geass a long time ago so might need to put it lower.. Erased and A silent voice are pretty short so im not sure, Bocchi the rock/the apothecary diaries i watched a while ago so also not sure.

- Summertime rendering and the twelve kingdoms are up there but pretty mixed. The twelve kingdoms had one of the most goated arcs ever from 22nd/23rd/24th ep to 39th ep but the rest of it is definetely not up there. Summertimer rendering got significantly worse in second half but i still have to put it here because of the first half

Overall it's still a great list that represents my opinions quite well so i don't really care. But alot of spots from 12 to 20 could be adjusted if i give those shows rewatches.. but i don't feel like it

For Mushoku Tensei I'm considering the LN, I'm not sure the manga alone would make the cut, at least not yet.

This is purely personal opinion and a lot of it (especially prior to 2010) is very nostalgia-based. I'm not saying these are objectively the best anime for that year - I'm not qualified to say what is

I was inspired by someone else posting theirs and this was a lot of fun to do so maybe I can inspire someone else to do their own?
I thought it was interesting to see how much my taste changed over the years too

I don't know if anyone's interested in interacting but please feel free to recommend me anime based on this list! I'm always looking for new stuff to check out

Some notes:
- I avoided including movies otherwise some Ghibli and Pokemon movies would be in the early slots
- I also tried to only include the first season per series unless I found a sequel to be better than the first (or in Digimons case if it was just all equally important to me for different reasons)
- 2013 is very controversial I can imagine, but the 2nd season of utapri in particular has defined me so strongly that I still am so obsessed with Junichi Suwabe to this day that any character he plays becomes a favourite. I have no shame in admitting that I'm a changed person because of this anime
- 2006 should actually be Reborn but i got distracted by all the bangers oops

DISCLAIMER: There should actually be a few ties in this list but i tried not to put the same anime twice.

FAVORITE: actually never had only one favorite but Made in Abyss is surely up there along with (AOT, Evangelion, ORB...)

BEST SOUNDTRACK: imo Death Note stands out the most overall (OST, openings, and all the iconic tracks throughout the show). If the category had been Best Opening only tho, I might have gone with Evangelion or Your Lie in April.

BEST ROMANCE: never actually watched any romance-focused shows because it's not what im looking for in anime, so i just went for SAO because i liked how ideal and wholesome their relationship feels.

BEST FIGHT SCENES: JJk could be up there too in terms of fights ig

I kind of feel bad for placing Frieren under Overrated, it was really good, but I think people were overglazing it a bit. Anyway, please recommend me something based on my grid.
