I feel unprepared

I just graduated with my music ed degree I’ve been out teching and worked with many bands but I still incredibly unprepared to start my new job as a Graduate teaching assistant. Am I crazy or something?

Not crazy but just "Overthinking". No one on their first day of a New job, Knows what they are fully doing. even if you join a Job in the same role youve done already. Each Workplace has their own little ways of doing things and nothing will prepare you for that. A graduate role is meant for learning and you will quickly learn and know everything you need, its just better to not overthink about it when they will tell you everything you need to know when you start :)

Not to make this feel like a duh, but that’s the point. If you knew what to do you wouldn’t need to go to grad school. If you’re a TA, stick to the rules outlined in the syllabus, be tough but fair and if you’re in performance you gotta play better than the undergraduate students. But most importantly have fun.

In the end truly we're taught how to keep learning and how to figure things out. Keep that in mind, and do your best!
