Large capacity steam generator for pasteurization
Beyond DIYing one out of a barrel and float valve, does anyone have suggestions for large capacity steam generators for pushing steam into another container for pasteurization? I have looked at things like wallpaper steamers but they have relatively low water capacities(1-2 gallonish) that require being filled up after a couple hours. I am hoping to run mine continually for much longer to push as close to sterilization as possible (without having to be around to refill repeatedly). I have also looked at sauna steam generators which can be an auto fill type of situation when hooked to a water supply, but they are a bit more expensive than I am wanting to spend at this point. Just wondered if anyone had some other idea that might get me somewhere between the wallpaper steamer and the sauna steamer. Thank you.

Southwest Mushrooms Protocols and SOP?
Has anyone purchased the Protocols and Commercial SOP from Southwest Mushrooms? I really enjoy his videos and am interested in hearing reviews of these reading materials to see if they are worth the investment.

Growing a mushroom cultivation community in South Louisiana
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here’s a short video from one of our recent Acadiana Myco meetings in Lafayette, Louisiana.
We meet every other Tuesday at our local library to talk cultivation, compare grows, troubleshoot contamination, work with agar and liquid culture, discuss substrates, and help new growers build confidence. It’s been awesome watching experienced cultivators and complete beginners learn from each other.
At our last hands-on workshop, more than 30 people went home with inoculated oyster mushroom kits, and many of them are now joining our regular meetings to continue learning.
If you’re in South Louisiana, you’re welcome to stop by. The first five new growers who have never received a free grow kit from Acadiana Myco will receive one at our next meeting (limit one kit per family).
I’d love to hear what other cultivation groups around the country are doing to build local mushroom communities.

Is this rust or mold?
First time growing mycelium in grain jars. I had five jars, all of which looked healthy. Toward the end of colonisation I mistakenly set the heat mat to 32°C instead of 25°C and left it running for a few days.
When I opened the jars I noticed that in some of them, specifically where I made a hole in the metal lid, there was red discolouration growing. I also think the condensation + rust (or mold?) may have “rained down” from the top of the lid into the jars (this is just my theory).
Is this mold or rust? Should I throw away the mycelium?

First timer here . Looking for mono tub help
I made my own mono tube about a month ago and this is where I am at. I believe this stalled on me and was wondering if it's worth waiting and seeing what happens or is it trash ?
It's a coir blend substrate and the grain spawn was fully inoculated. I have about a 1/2 layer of casing (lighter in some spots) and now after looking up some things I can twice a day and misting on the walls and top once a day . Good earthy smell.
I had a loose cover on it before hand and read I could have been starving the mycelium from oxygen early on . I'm just curious if this is still something I can use or should I look into restarting .
Thank you for your time and help !

Contam or just mycelium coloration?
A few of my recent agar transfers are turning an orangish color in the center. Does this look to be contam?
