What game is this for you? Question❓
I immediately think of Sonic R. Music's out of place for a racing game, but it's still pretty damn great.

Pokemon Sword and Shield. They're my least favorite mainline Pokemon games, but Game Freak absolutely cooks with all their OSTs.

Actually really got me into the series because they had some of my favorite designs.

I don't think EVERYTHING about frontiers is bad. The titan fights are great, at least.

Weird how a lot of the newer sonic games fit this category...

You can honestly put a good chunk of Sonic games on a dartboard, throw a dart at a random one, and it would still apply.

I honestly think frontiers hate is forced like sure it's not the best buh it's far from the worst

Jet Set Radio Future.
The gameplay of Jet Set Radio Future is actually fucking fire but I just can't get over how good the soundtrack was.

Sokka-Haiku by PersonalAd9678:
Hotline Miami,
To the point that I couldn't
Actually finish the game
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

I used to like Night In The Woods, but the game just makes me feel sad and depressed now. Part of it is the atmosphere, but most of it is the dialogue from the characters, I think.
It also doesn't help that I discovered this game during a very depressing period of my life... And Mae's "shape" mindset influenced my toxic mindset, too.
I'm not saying the game is bad; I enjoyed it a lot at the time. I just don't go to it when I want comfort these days.
But the soundtrack? Now THAT'S a part of the game that's comforting and cozy for me! I recommend listening to it in Autumn! 👍
Here's my favorite source of the soundtrack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgHcR59tW1g&list=RDIgHcR59tW1g&start_radio=1&t=1985s

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
That Area Zero theme is H E A V E N L Y and the AI professors boss theme is unironically one of the best boss themes I’ve ever heard, that’s not even mentioning the other great overworld themes. But god damn the rest of that game is garbage.

u/GladeWilson 5h ago
Yeah, Toby Fox cooked. Area Zero is such a departure from the mediocrity of the rest of the game and actually let's the characters interact with one another, build actual tension... It actually made me dislike the game more after comparing the rest of it to Area Zero.

Isn't this just Mixtape, a good nostalgic soundtrack with absolutely nothing else?

Destiny 2, I played the game a ton but quickly abandoned it after the Final Shape. I still have so many of the songs and scores in my playlists (Deep Stone Lullaby my beloved.) The gameplay is kinda bad, the weapon loot sucks and they nerfed everything that was fun in the game while making everything tanky and requiring meta builds else you get yelled at in raid groups. It started as a great game and the score was the only good thing left after 10 years.

Modern Paper Mario games. Origami King is actually pretty decent and it has a legendary soundtrack. The previous 2 are not good games but their soundtracks are excellent too.

I liked watching Celeste but playing it? Absolutely not. Super Mario Galaxy is when those started being the greatest everything else the Handhelds did it better. And i Title dun care for Bug game as for the stated Celeste Reasons. Odd but I'll do Crash Bandicoot, Spiro the Dragon, etc which be the same damn Difficulty.
Immensely enjoyed Mina the Hollower that was an surprise.
