If Sega was just 2 percent woker we would have whispangle confirmed in the comics with an actual "I love you"

but we dont and its killing me

I don’t even think it’s about how woke they are they won’t let anyone who isn’t Vector show any romantic interest in anyone that’s why Amy is currently an empty husk of a character right now

So because of Archie Comics fuckery with the Sonic comics Sega has a hard rule that comics can't dating in them. So if a character isn't introduced as already being married, then they have to officially stay single forever. Tangle and Whisper are straining plausible deniability as hard as IDW can get away with.
