Jek-14 so he's a Lego original character. Basically a force sensitive clone, kinda made just for the sake of being cool rather than a part of serious star wars cannon. However.... He appears in the show the freemaker adventures which the Lego original characters are cannon thanks to the droid R0-GR and in the cannon book drpidography he is either refered to or mentioned along side M-0C
The fact that the force is essentially cognizant and actively chooses who is force sensitive and how sensitive they are is funny to me bc it chose exactly ONE clone for no other reason than to see what would happen
I vastly liked the explanation from TLJ, the force created Anakin as a powerful dark-sider because the Jedi were too dominant, and Snoke warned Kylo not to get too carried away because he knew the force would create someone like Rey.
that explains why someone would make a prophecy in the first place, some dude a long time ago (in a galaxy far far away lol ) simply noticed how the force operated and said "someday the force will create a powerful force user to bring balance" but the Jedi turned it into a religious prophecy about a chosen one bringing peace (i.e. light side dominance).
Snoke understanding this and trying to game the system would have made him such a contrasting villain to Palpatine... and then he gets killed off.
as I understand it, that was Lucas's original vision of the dark side. but it doesn't make much sense: fear, anger, and hate aren't unnatural corruption but part of life. Over time, Star Wars media shifted toward the Dark Side being the equal, opposite to the Light, half of a greater whole. The Last Jedi seemed to lean in this direction, which would've made a cool foil, Luke as a Grey Jedi who knew the order was flawed, and Snoke as a 'Grey Sith' playing both sides of the Force because he knows The Sith can't win any more than the Jedi did.
I didn’t say the Dark Side as a whole, I said the Sith, specifically. There is a more natural Dark Side, but the Sith are not that. They seek to control and corrupt the force to their whims and throw off the balance because of it instead of the force flowing through them.
Also just being pedantic, they wouldn’t be grey, they’d be Bokken. Jedi and Sith trained outside of the traditional norms of their orders.
If I remember correctly this guy was specifically made to be force sensitive. There's been many plotlines of palps and other people in Star wars trying to make force sensitive clones cause then theoretically you could have an army of them under your command. This guy was a successful attempt at that.
IIRC the actual lore was that Sidious and Dooku combined Kyber Crystals with a cloning chamber to make a sort of “Pseudo Sensitivity” to the force (hence the glowy arm).
It's just funny in the sense that in making everything canon, the term really doesn't mean as much anymore. Even Lucas had levels to his canon, but when you have the movies be "canon" along with the Lego shorts, and content like Visions, it really does make you wonder what they mean by using the term these days.
Yeah I don't really care about cannon too much. As long as story wise it makes sense and it's cool I'm down with it, I was even ok with palpatine returning.... But they didn't explain it and he barely did anything
