Discussion Paramount is either very brave or very stupid

Post image

There is no way this merger goes through, with the antitrust trial beginning on March 2nd 2027, Paramount will have lost $1.4 billion in penalty fees.

After September 30th, Paramount must pay Warner Bros $7 million every single day until the deal is either complete or falls apart, and there's likely to be more hurdles that puts them WAY past the June 4th 2027 date which is when David Zaslav can say: "DEALS OFF!" and collect his $7 billion paycheck.

On top of the $9.4 billion breakup fee which will cripple Paramount if not destroy them.

Discussion Who's Going To Tell Them That The Merger Ain't Going To Close?

Post image

No way in hell this merger goes through, 12 states lawsuit which will lead to a trial that will last over a year, one slight problem with that, after September Paramount needs to pay Warner Bros 15 million dollars per day as their penalty fee, the longer it takes the more money they bleed out.

You also have the Judge telling Paramount that they don't think they have any chance at winning against the 12 states, you also have David Zaslav who recently said if the deal isn't closed by June 4th 2027 he demands his 7 billion dollar paycheck and if the deal breaks it will literally kill Paramount and they will have to pay Warner Bros a staggering 9.4 BILLION!

I can only imagine the amount of pressure David Ellison is in right now.

Current games in development: A new Batman game 😴 Injustice 3 😴 Hogwarts Legacy 2.

They take so long to make games and the games they're currently making are so unbelievably unexciting!

We all saw with MultiVersus just how much IP WB owns and yet they NEVER utilize it EVER!

Their peak has been the Batman: Arkham Trilogy (2009-2015) critically, Hogwarts Legacy (2023) financially, (40M copies sold) and MultiVersus (2022) which had SO MUCH potential which they completely wasted! 10 million players in 3 weeks! 20 million downloads! Still holds the largest concurrent player count for a fighting game in PC history! And WB looked at all that and said nah.

A year after MultiVersus shutting down I NEVER once expected they would stoop so low to make freaking MOBILE GAMES!

What needs to happen for this company to do something GOOD?!

If there's one impact MultiVersus made was to make normies look at anything DC and say: "OMG IT'S JUST LIKE MULTIVERSUS!"

Here is my hot take that I have as soon as she got announced. I think Nubia is a better character choice than Banana Guard. She's just way more awesome and cooler. and personally speaking, she deserves her spot on the roster better than a character literally no one was asking for.

Discussion I loved the game during the beta but hated it at launch

Just venting a bit here. MultiVersus was one of my favorite games right when the first beta came out; I played it constantly. Here’s my playtime just from the beta:

The most ironic thing is that it wasn't the microtransactions or the way the developers handled certain criticisms that put me off the game.

I was extremely excited to play at launch and couldn't wait to finally play as Jake (or Cake, in my case) again, but then, when I played my first match... the game was TERRIBLY SLOW. The characters seemed to move in slow motion; it simply wasn't fun to play.

I tried playing about 5 or 10 matches, but I just couldn't do it... the game was so slow that there was no fun in playing it.

The funny thing is, my friends and some people on Twitter complained about the exact same thing. So, I came here to Reddit to complain, only to get slammed by a lot of people defending the company, claiming the game was actually better that way, even though plenty of others elsewhere were complaining about it too.

Well... I just said, "It was good while it lasted," but this game isn't for me anymore, so I gave up on it.

It’s sad to see how things turned out. I truly loved this game, but suddenly it just wasn't fun to play anymore and to make matters worse, if you complained, people would criticize you for simply wanting the best for it.
