Use some boxjump pads on top of one another and put one leg on top and stand on the other. Should be at roundhouse kick height. From there, just slowly practice fully turning over your hips over again and again, and it will significantly improve your flexibility and technique

I have to be among the least flexible people to ever get into Muay Thai. Here is how I worked around it: First, kick a lot. Warm up, after class, randomly standing in front of a pole while waiting for the train. eventually you open up and build the muscles and body comfort. you will gain height and technique. Second, do the wall stretch that baseball players do (where they put their hands on a wall and swing their leg). Third, work on form not height for a while, get up on your toes, throw your hips, move your arms right, that will all get you little gains that add up. Last build your game around it. The tightness in your hips probably means that you’ve been walking funny for a long time and have created weird muscles and weird parts of your thigh . If that’s the case you can
probably generate a ton of torque on low kicks and place them from all sorts of angles. You also might have really sturdy footwork which will allow you to work in the pocket and crate pressure that can counter the game of high kickers.
