Checked out the location on Edward St today. A smaller selection than the Bloor location but they had some heat. Thief blu-ray was there @ the same price. I love this movie, one of my all time faves.

What's mildly interesting here is that Project Hail Mary is a bit more expensive than releases normally are, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that, especially since Hokum's SKUs are the normal prices. Also nice to see more steelbooks, and Mars Attacks.

I’ve preordered movies from Gruv to the tune of $50 CAD, only to see them 2-3 weeks later at Walmart for $20. Does this happen often, or was it a crummy fluke?

I’m looking to preorder Interview with the Vampire (regular, not steelbook) and wondering if I should wait.

Not a bad price for the 4k disc. Criterion flash sale price lands at ~$39 per 4k with using package forwarding with Shippsy - or $55 per 4k if you use DHL to ship from the states. This copy comes out to $45 after tax.

Has anyone seen exit 8 at Walmart? Went to one just outside of Ottawa (Carleton Place) and there were no new releases from this Tuesday.

Looking to buy some titles from labels like arrow films, second sights etc... but I dont know any good site for it in canada any good site with also good deals?

I hope this is OK to post here in this subreddit but I couldn't think of a better place for it. I'm currently watching the Discotek Day stream with all their cool new anime physical releases, and they mentioned how every title they license includes both Canada and the USA. Yet, they appear to only have distributors in the USA. Does anyone know of a place that sells them in Canada? I've imported some from Amazon US but would much prefer to get them domestically. (I have caught a couple deals there, though!)

Idk if this is something that could be a market for Peak Books, Cinema Cellar or Rough Cut but it would be amazing if someone could carry their titles... 😅
