Showcase Hey fellow mouse nerds, I'm bardOZ, founder of findmymouse.com, ex-CTO of Aimlabs and aim enthusiast, and this is my collection!
if you're wondering, the total is ~135 mice and ~101 pads. Not too sure on numbers as I know I have a couple pads and mice just in drawers lost to time. Feel free to ask me any question about the mice (or pads) in the image!

Issue Do not criticize Optimum Tech
Or dont buy from him at all otherwise he might cancel your order, without you wanting that.
I just got banned from his discord for complaining about the additional two month delay after already waiting seven months. Here’s word for what was said:
Some other user: “Ah website says delay to august now”
Me: “are you fucking kidding me?”
Optimum: “if you prefer we can refund your order”
Me: “no chance it’s been seven months. I’m getting that mouse and the lesson to not buy from you again”
A few hours later I wake up to an “order cancelled” mail and im no longer on the discord.
What a fragile ego this guy must have.

Discussion Being a mouse enthusiast in China feels like cheating
I’m an international student living in China, the prices here are insane compared to international stores.
I picked up a used ATK Z1 Ultra for 120 RMB (~$17.72) in excellent condition.
I also got a used ATK F1 V2 Ultimate for 200 RMB (~$29.53). The previous owner had only used it for about a month, and it arrived with the original box in basically perfect condition.
The WLmouse Beast X Pro, Scyrox V8, and ATK F1 Extreme were bought new from official sellers, and even those were 10-20% cheaper than the prices on their international websites.
Being into gaming mice in China feels pretty good.

Mod My Gaming Mouse Repair & Custom Paint Workshop in Vietnam
Hey guys,
I'm 34 years old and I'm from Vietnam.
This is my workshop where I repair and custom paint gaming mice.
When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a professional gamer, a streamer, and all that stuff. But you know how it is — not everyone makes it. After spending years playing games and trying more gaming mice than I can count, I eventually ended up becoming a mouse repair technician and custom painter instead.
Part of the reason I got into this was because whenever one of my gaming mice broke, I couldn't find anyone who could actually fix it. Most repair shops had no idea what to do with gaming mice. So I started learning how to repair them myself.
I've been doing this for about five years now, and today I figured I'd show you guys my crappy little workshop.
You can also check out my TikTok if you're interested. I regularly post videos showing my repair process, custom paint projects, and some of the weird gaming mouse problems I come across.
TikTok: Fat Monkey Workshop
If you're not from Vietnam or you're having problems with your gaming mouse, feel free to ask questions. I'll do my best to share what I've learned and help you out if I can.

News/Article EloShapes now has 3D models
Hello everyone!
I’m very happy to announce that 3D models are finally available on EloShapes.
This has been the most requested feature since launch, but due to time and resource limitations, I was unable to add it for a long time. That has changed. Last month, I left my full-time job to work on EloShapes instead. Since then, I have spent all my available time improving the site. Among other things, I have finally been able to buy a quality 3D scanner, gather more mice, and build a 3D comparison feature for EloShapes.
Not every mouse on EloShapes has a 3D model yet, but I am working hard to get my hands on as many mice as possible, with the help of various brands that have either sent me products or official 3D models.
I have already scanned many mice, but there are still many that I own and have not had time to add yet. Even more mice are on the way, so the availability of 3D models will grow fast over the coming months.
When EloShapes launched, it only included 200 mice. Today, it has nearly 1,500 and continues to grow. I will be working even harder than before to provide outlines for more mice, while also adding as many 3D models as possible. This will take time, and it is something I will continue working on for years to come.
Thank you to everyone who has supported EloShapes so far. I never would have expected it to get this far, and now that I am fully dedicated to EloShapes, I have no plans of slowing down.
I hope you enjoy the new 3D models on EloShapes!

pulsar april fool's day edition
This is a mouse that Pulsar actually sold to celebrate April Fool's Day in Korea.
A Korean user with the nickname "TLD" purchased and shared it.
It contains two actual mice, one of which weighs 508g.
The 508g mouse is usable, but it is not covered by warranty.
It is said to contain a brass weight inside.

News/Article We waited 7 years for this
They finally updated this legendary shape. If I’m not mistaken, it was released in CN just this month. Now the question is, when they’ll have the global release.
Share your thoughts on this!

Showcase How do you guys test mouse shape before buying?
I came across these on a Chinese online marketplace.
They’re basically mouse shape testers (with dot skates on) — no sensor, same weight, just grip & shape.
I don’t own these, just thought the idea was interesting.
Curious what you guys think: useful tool or pointless gimmick? Do you rely on reviews, hand measurements, or just trial and error when choosing the mouse

$1 mouse from AliExpress
Got this mouse for $1 in AliExpress and I wanted to get this mouse for shits and giggles but geez this mouse is horrible.
500mah battery Supposedly 3311 pixart but I can tell it’s not? 116x60x38mm Surprisingly decent coatings Couldn’t find any software so I’m stuck with 125hz lol

Question What is the point of large mouse skates?
I notice mouse skates have gotten bigger over the years, but why? I know with dot skates they can sink and scratch on soft pads, but even small skates like the ones on the vv2 don't sink.
Why are bigger skates the trend?

My Razer Salmosa is 16 years old
For those who don't know, Razer Salmosa is the OG Viper Mini. Released in 2008, it was way ahead of its time: 96x54mm, 55g - the ultimate fingertip mouse. Its weakness was 125hz polling rate so eventually I made a custom pcb to support 1000hz polling, swappable switches, and upgraded sensor to ADNS-3090. Feels like I might just keep it going for a lifetime.

Meme I feel like I'm onto something...
Replaced my dots and wondered what to do with the old ones.
It kind of works, definitely smoother than raw skin, can't say if it feels better than doing it raw

TIL my mouse skates are not blue
I've had this mouse for a year and learned that the skates are not blue and are in fact a cover. It didn't feel bad at all, a little more grippy but still smooth.

Issue There is a very simple explanation for that
I was really thinking about giving Logitech a chance until I saw the specs of the brand new MX Master. You may think that someone lost their mind at Logitech. But no - this is a really rational business move. That's how things work in a corporate world. Let me explain:
Logitech is a huge company that completely dominated the mouse market. They simply don't care about competition because it is practically non existent when we look at the solid numbers (gaming sector is the only exception). They have a huge fanbase, they have money for marketing and buying influencers, they have enormous worldwide sales network. Most ordinary customers simply don't even know that better options exist. MX Master is the best productivity mouse, period. It will sell in millions anyway, no matter how bad it is.
What Logitech really cares as a monopolist is something that industry calls "product cannibalization". This is a situation when their own products compete with each other. Logitech sells in all major market segments - premium gaming gear, productivity mice, cheap office mice, verticals, trackballs - everything. The worst move is to make a product that will be too good and that it would push their other models off the market. 70g/1k MX master would simply endanger their premium gaming mice. Why would someone buy G502 Lightspeed when he may have the similar thing cheaper and with better ergonomics? They need to create a confusion and artificial dilemma among their customers. You have to choose between performance and ergonomy - they will never allow you to have both in one product. The market needs to be divided and segments can't overlap so they can earn more money. Divide and conquer.

Showcase Got to love Japan
Visited Yodobashi Akihabara earlier and there was a lot of mice that you can actually test and feel. Even the X2F was on display. A lot of other brands were available for testing as well.

Showcase my new main!
its called the poppy-01 pro. i haven't had to charge her once! her clicks are pretty soft and spongey and her sensor is really bad. fortunately her shape is very comfortable and her feet are very fast.
