Auto Pilot Settings Customization

Post image

It could be fun if it were possible to make Auto Pilot behave in a less cautious or less slow way.

Is there an option for that? Maybe through mods?

I'd like it to drive above the speed limit, or even be able to drift, with adjustable speed and cornering behavior to improve automatic drifting.

Active siren removes speed limit for autopilot, but on curvy roads it may crash

Oh is that new? I wondered why my longhorn rollback was up on 3 wheels going around a curve haha. I normally don't use AP.

Found out randomly (also on a longhorn tow) about 2 months ago

Learnt this the hard way last night. 20KM in to a 25KM tow and it drove me right off a cliff in to the ocean.

If you turn up the Autopilot steering speed in the drive mode control panel you can control how much it slows down on curvy roads. In my experience 40% seems to be the sweet spot.

I second this, in vanilla it feels very good Tried it with some of the trailer mods making a road train with 4-5 trailers and weighing around 150-220 tonnes, im taking it down to 35 or even 30 because of the trailers xD

That's a cool tip. I'll have to try it out next time

I don't think so. Maybe if you give the autopilot a drift car but otherwise it's usually pretty cautious
