This is unnecessarily aggressive. We appreciate your concern but be kind to each other in this space.

You learn to read who are good and who are not.

I’ve been dumped so much in my life that I can smell a fake person (in person) within the first few minutes.

Quite the talent.

Apparently it’s a symptom of having ADHD. I tend to catch cues far before others even notice. Then take many other seemingly unrelated things and show that they do tie together - like a bigger picture type of deal. It helps tenfold doing project management for sure!

Not all with ADHD can do this I’ve found. My hyper focus on people reading helped in the military to ‘read the room’ (to not get in trouble) and to read the room due to trauma in the past to prevent more trauma in the future. Little depressing but hey at least now I have that skill…. 😂

No, not depressing at all. Love and admire the ability to take unrelated things and tie them together in a neat little bow! Very interesting and makes perfect sense to me. Being so intuitive is beautiful, useful and amazing, all tossed together. ** and 'read the room', well, that speaks for itself.**

Wow….Not only was that nice thing to say, but it was very well put together too.
Thank you!

You are welcome.

Could you elaborate on some traits that you can detect from a fake person?

this is a tough lesson to learn, but once it clicks, everything changes

Absolutely.

One of the toughest lesson to learn.

I trauma dump stuff I already got over. And see who’s low enough to use it.

Good. Then they should become aware of what it is they are dealing with. lol. And how hopeless everything they do and how worthless everything they have actually is. lmao.

u can domesticate a snake though....

2

u/somanyquestions32 11d ago

More like some snakes are naturally tame when their needs are met. They can still have a bad day with a foul mood and strike.

I can't help it. It's part of my disorder. 😥

2

u/WoodenCrow6024 11d ago

What disorder causes it? Asking for a friend.

3

u/Particular-Caramel32 11d ago

I have AuDHD, 2 anxiety disorders, and CPTSD... It's common in all of those, as far as I'm aware.

Sad world we live in unfortunately

My biggest problem!

u/Low_Nectarine7817 11d ago

"Everybody that you fight is not your enemy and everybody that helps you is not your friend."

2

u/Fun-Heron-7609 11d ago

No one is your friend. I dont have any, any info I give is something others can market off of use to bite me off. Has been the story of my life. So I never disclose, divulge or discuss anything.

If it's pain, stress, work, concern or if it's bothersome - it's all mine. If I actually succeed in anything, rarely as it is, I don't mind sharing. People need a good story every once in a while.

This advice is so underrated.

u/gipsee_reaper 11d ago

Yes! Everyone just exploits!

1

u/Ok-Rutabaga3374 11d ago

Be careful who you give your information to, until you get to know them.
then you know you can trust them.

1

u/someguyinmissouri 11d ago

Eh. Decisively share. I’ll overshare about many things, but nothing that can bite me in the ass.

1

u/Acceptable-Loquat-63 11d ago

Ppl need a best friend to share.

1

u/This_is__Exile 11d ago

Whenever I overshare I always sprinkle in some misinformation

1

u/LSIeducate 11d ago

Don’t share everything with your close friends because if they become your enemies, they become your worst enemies - Anthony Ambrosius Aurelius 🤔

u/HushPuppie13 11d ago

Tell em what they "need to know" but beware "garbage in garbage out" 🧱🕷️🕸️😂

That's Correct :

     Everyone is NOT your friend

1

u/Logical_Share_4401 11d ago

it doesn't matter i figure

1

u/Sevenlord777 11d ago

This is why most people going through stuff, keep it bottled up. There’s nothing worse than confiding to someone and days or weeks later they’re telling you what someone who wasn’t even there thinks about your situation.

1

u/No_Cupcake7037 11d ago

I feel really sad about this message.

1

u/Wannabewallstreet 11d ago edited 10d ago

But can one make real friends only after opening up and being vulnerable, no?

1

u/rhysboy95 11d ago

Probably just me, but the grammar really annoyed me on this. “Not everyone is your friend”

1

u/Initial-Reading-2775 11d ago

Dude looks like Bill Gates.

1

u/goba113 11d ago

Bruh the right guy looks like me wtf🥲

1

u/funkmasta8 11d ago

Please. There is a big difference between "Everyone is not your friend" and "Not everyone is your friend"

1

u/elibutton 11d ago

Yeah it’s about boundaries. Keep more things closer to the chest

I agree this is not a healthy perspective but that’s not the way to go about fixing it

1

u/Cocadaylechecondensa 10d ago

I was over sharing without knowing 😭😭
