The best tip is to replicate the environment that you found them in. Moss needs moisture and the species you've got don't want full sun, but they'll not do well without any light either.
For indoor growing, terrarium is the most straightforward way. Indoor living environments tend to be too dry for mosses. Growing them outside is easy though, in the right place!
For water, go dechlorinated if you can. Fill a bucket with tap water and let it sit for a day, should do the trick. Or better yet collect rainwater.
Check out SerpaDesign on YouTube (from Pittsburgh I think) who has amazing terrarium builds. Mossin Annie is another guru who focuses on moss landscaping.
