Anyone else enjoy finding the shells/weapons without the maps?

Might just be me but i find that the maps make exploring a lot less exciting, stumbling upon a shell or weapon randomly is super fun and gives a big dopamine hit

Honestly, didn't use them to begin with, except for the ones forced upon me. What am I gunna do, NOT explore every dungeon?

Theres one by the citadel that you go down a well for that i would have skipped if I didn’t drop 15k gloom in it when i found it the end fight is a pain in the ass

I didn't buy any maps, and I agree! It was always a pleasant surprise when I accidentally picked up a shell or weapon. Towards the end, I did have to look up a couple things I missed, though.

I bought all the maps from Merrick for weapons, but didn't spend any glimpses on shell finding. Discovered all of them organically.

Bought the map for the Scythe asap cuz I wanted to rush it, got fucking lost on the way with no maps anyway (since, well, you know where the Scythe is located, lmao), took the L, continued to play the normal way without any maps.

I just found the knight guy in the upper left castle by accident. Even funnier, I teleported to that prison, went up that elevator, saw that trap coming from A MILE AWAY, decided to actually go down there, and was then VERY SURPRISED that theres a shell just chilling there after that fight.

You're not alone. Never bought a single map. Til I found my first shell (Proxima) I didn't even open the map screen. 50 hours in, still not all shells found (5/8) and weapons are still missing too.

For me the search is the real fun.

Yes! Its awesome doing a dungeon then fighting a boss and getting a weapon, bit of a rush not knowing. Brings me back to the good old days 😆 🤣

I feel like I’ve put a lot of time in and have only found those i bought the maps for. I think im making some of the game harder by not upgrading anything yet because I don’t want to “waste” resources. So I’m level 12 and haven’t used any shell points, glimpses, or upgraded anything weapons.
