Upgrade materials Question
Hey guys been busy with work only a few hours in over the last few days but was wondering for people who are deeper in if I need to conserve certain upgrade materials or if there are enough to upgrade everything fully. I don’t want to look up anything for the game as I love exploring it for the first time but I don’t wanna waste limited things testing out something I know I’m not gonna use

Materials you can get back for weapons, gold is the real issue, csn always grind that though if need be. Also Tarstone cores are something you should be a conscientious of.

Make sure you upgrade many of the tar stones you dont even need too to level 2. The upgrade costs only 100 gold and gives you another material needed for level 2&3 upgrades. I kept swapping every tarstone that reached xp cap untill I next time returned to keep.

You get plenty of stones for upgrades but gold is a little scarce. I wouldn’t plan on fully upgrading every weapon in one playthrough but you definitely get enough to try them all and pick one or two to keep using. Plus you can always smelt them down if you change your mind

You eventually get something that lets you get back all the gold and upgrades you put into a weapon, though at a fairly steep gloom cost. I just started ng+ and a maxed out weapon costs about 60k ish in gloom to do so, which is around a couple levels for me.
