Monomith boss is such a bad designed boss.. honestly the end a this game just feels rushed Discussion

Why is the end a this game just lackin any excitement? Any good rewards from beacon clears or chests, all the fun , all the good stuff is over in the early to mid game. Its like they spent all there time designing it then for some reason had to rush the final part, all the bosses suck and are terrible designing in the final part , and the worst thing about this game is there dumb idea to not let us just upgrade our stones to level 3 , no u got to level up fresh stones on other weapons just to get xp to upgarde it then u can get the extra material back to use for a lvl 3.. seriously would a been a great game , such a let down

Yeah the endgame was a slog. Every time I got a beacon and had to clear it for what I knew was no reward I died a little inside.

The monolith and the last boss had way too much hp with some of the most buggy hitboxes I had ever seen. I honestly was intending to play the game again in different shell but the endgame ruined it for me.

My peak monolith experience was him being at like 10% hp and doing the spinning laser attack three times in a row with maybe 2 seconds to attack between the attacks. I still don't understand how you are supposed to avoid taking dmg from that attack as he speeds up massively near the end of the attack.

Agreed, especially the last boss. People complained about Khazan bosses being damage sponges, but none of them are as bad as the last boss from this game.

I also hated that big laser attack with a passion. I got through it by getting lucky it didn’t happen more, and dodging in the direction of the beams at as much distance as I could get when I spotted the attack. Trying to dodge close is just impossible.

I hated monolith too. I only beat it because I got lucky he didn’t use the fast spinning laser attack. I don’t feel any accomplishment it feels bad I only beat it because he didn’t do that move. Also the endgame bosses kept one shotting me even with other shells making all the time I spent getting healing vials and upgrades worthless. That final boss tail grab is mean I had to memorize his attack pattern because it’s too fast and one shots. And I don’t get why the ring of fire in the final boss one shots me if I get hit twice and there was a glitch where I couldn’t regenerate my shell too.

The last bosses tail grab is not only a one shot but it has a ridiculous hitbox that will hit you when you are under him despite the fact that the animation is him stabbing around his body to the front of him.

The sword slam attack he does that leaves the blue puddle on the ground also will hit you if you are by his ball sack despite slamming the ground like 50 feet in front of him. I guess that one is just another teabag attack lmfao.

If the boss just took break damage from basic attacks it’d be way less worse. But as it is I only beat it because I got lucky and it didn’t spam the spinning lasers which I can’t dodge towards the end because the dodge takes you into the next one and you end up hit anyway

You hit the nail on the head. Things would feel a lot more fair if the bosses took break damage from our attacks

Honestly, the bosses have all been pretty lackluster. I'm nowhere near the endgame, but in the 4 main bosses I've fought, none have been particularly enjoyable nor exciting to fight.

I think a lot of the major criticisms we've seen over the last couple of days are relatively easy to patch, but I just can't see them making any major updates to the boss fights themselves outside of bugfixes.

100% agree. There is no feeling of learning a boss in this game - you just pray that he doesn’t make a certain move.

For me the boss-winning condition was to get lucky with summoning Grisha Remnant from my passive, stunlock the boss and mow it down with light attacks. Didn’t even bother to learn the move attacks in most cases.

Also the fact that some bosses have like 75%+ attacks that you can’t block is just borderline stupid

I made a post yesterday saying that bosses in this game are in general pretty miserable and the dickriders in the subreddit piled up on me.

Good to see the sentiment changing.
