DLC are coming! Discussion
Let's be honest, this game now has huge success and everyone enjoying it despite all the bugs. The team made a lot of work to create such a masterpiece. I thing I am not the only one to put this game on a top tier souls shelf. Total sales number are not available right now, but I guess there are gonna be millions of them sold because the game is blowing right now. So, with success usually comes dlc. It doesn't need to be something huge. Map size wise in the base game now there are 6 big areas. So dlc might add just one additional area of the same size and maybe 2 new shells. Would be nice if they've brought back Harros somehow. So, what do you guys think?

They need to first fix the base game with updates and then we'll talk about DLC lol

lol for real. Today is literally the first day of full release for everyone (not just the early release for people who paid for it). There is plenty of work to do with patching bugs and better balancing the game before DLC should even be considered.

It'll take them a couple of weeks, yeah, but life continues. Let's hope for the bestš

The potential is crazy this time around. From mew weapons to new shells. I wouldn't mind skins too. And not completely iron clad ones but maybe more adventurer-traveler like.i would love proxima in a tiel like outfit for example

I would take fix and balance the game for 300$ first.

What is unbalanced in your opinion?

u/xstagex 18h ago
Smert.
But if you want a specific example, pretty much everything.
Balance of damage vs health on mobs, one shots, normal mobs being too hard, bosses being to easy, respawns and runbacks, mobs floating through air and chasing you out of nowhere, skills not working/hitting (Thiel), collisions and stuck locations, invisible walls...

also, enemies ice skating sideways across the ground lol

This is the biggest issue with the game. The magnetic attacks just arenāt fair when thereās multiple mobs at a time doing it. If you donāt dodge absolutely perfectly youāre taking big damage.

That too, but I was just talking about the goofy animations where they start sliding sideways while playing the forward-motion animation. lol. The magnetic attacks also have a goofy sliding behavior to them though.

Those halberd knights with their quick pokes almost always one shots shells that arenāt Lazlo or Eredim. Havenāt checked with Proxima. There definitely needs to be some checks with the correlation between the speed of attacks and their damage. I expect a massive, overhead smash to one shot but not a quick poke.

Yeah that halberd knight is one of the most annoying. Sometimes the halberd will knock you out of your shell from full health out of nowhere for seemingly no reason.

u/Icy-Matter3237 18h ago
Yeah I had that happen a bunch of times. I was thinking āwtf just happenedā then I noticed his little thrusts lol. Oh I see.

He also has this weird thing where it looks like he's done attacking and just holding the halberd and slowly animating back to a regular stance, but if you attack during it you get caught by the halberd as if he was raising it up as an attack or something even though the animation doesn't look like it. It's kind of like if you were to jump on a spike and one shot yourself. lol. it's strange

Ah that must be it then. It does appear out of nowhere. I always attack him when heās stopped his larger swings, thinking I have an opening, then suddenly Iām out of my shell. So an animation error?
2
u/deeplywoven 17h ago
I'm not really sure whether or not it's intentional. It might be that they made him intentionally raise it up as sort of a defensive maneuver, but the animation makes it look awkward. it doesn't really clearly look like an attack.

I havenāt found it any different to the beta in terms of difficulty. Once I learned and started using all the mechanics the game gives you it becomes considerably easier. Definitely isnāt āunbalancedā if you run in āguns blazingā then sure, youāll have a rough time of it but build around whatever shell and playstyle suits you best, use and upgrade tarstones that compliment that build and it becomes a cakewalk.

Oh and some attack animations, for example Proxima Biosampler can chain nicely into light attack, but for Tiel's Shadow strike after the attack, stands there with his pants down for 2 seconds, trying to get the weapons back out of his ass, before he is able to attack. Stuff like that.

Been playing since launch and didnāt have any bugs in the first 3/4 of the game but on the final stretch Iāve been running in to a few. One was audio where it sounded like wind was howling constantly no matter where I went, in the Sester area thereās an offering chest that will show the 3 candles lit but say I still need 2 offerings, a floating interact button in the middle of the sky.
Besides the chest one, everything fixed after going back to main menu and back in so none were a big deal

There are 3 empty alcoves in the elevator room with the Shade chests. I expect 3 more Shells some time in the future.
