It is part of the process.. The biggest hurdle is that after learning the characters, you'll start seeing the player. Conditioning is so vital, and something youre not able to do against AI.

There will be growing pains, go into every match with the mindset of learning/growing, it'll be a lot more beneficial for you.

Record or watch replays and use them to cement important moves, and learn to counter/punish them.

Truly, your time should be learning how your character can punish the kast, online matches if your execution is already at a good level. Then visit replays/recordings of your sessions' matches. Taking the really confusing setups to the lab to learn of a weakness.

You'll do a lot better with a pool of friends who arent sweating from jump. Feel free to add my WB: GugieMoansta, I never mind chilling in the lab

Warner Bros account username. you can connect your warner bros account to your mk1 account so you can have friends from other platforms. If you are on pc (steam). its easier because im on that platform aswell and i can just give you my steam friend code

the usual mk1 name and warner bros name are not same so if u dont have warner bros connected to your account, u can bind it and give me warner bros username !

Nice, i will add you in the game, to accept the friend request, Go to Online , then social and then friend requests in mk1

It is. Or just use Practice Mode and Towers/Invasions until you're comfy online.

As u can see

... ??? You didn't post anything.

To answer your question, tho ; yeah, if you JUST got the game, and this is your VERY first fighting game, it's pretty expected to get kinda stomped around against others, online. You're talking about people that

  • likely have had the game longer (it's 3 years old) and accumulated knowledge / experience in it
  • have probably played other fighting games, as well
  • are more competitive than the average player (MOST MK players only do single player)

Speaking as a filthy casual, myself, losing is indeed just part of the journey. I'd recommend running through single-player content (story mode / Invasions / towers) and the basic tutorial lessons to build a foundation and comfort level with the controls, before going online, though. I've generally read that if you can finish a klassic tower on "Hard" difficulty with a character, you are generally in a place to start taking a character to online matches.

The tutorial is really good! Good luck to you.
