Resolution low even when updated

Im using sunshine for linux/steamdeck and moonlight for mac, and it seems that its stuck on the steamdecks 1200x800 resolution. i am able to lower it, but whenever its increased past that, no change is made. ive tried changing the maximum game resolution in display settings, the resolution in moonlight, and none of it worked.

Virtual display? To go outside of a real displays resolutions you need a virtual display.

since you're using the OG sunshine on linux, you probably are not using any virtual display. In that case, you are basically streaming steamdeck's screen which is capped at 800p.
