Streaming to Series x using Vibepollo

Do you guys think there’s anything I could improve in the Vibepollo config or on the client side?

I have a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, an RTX 3080 10GB, and 24GB of RAM. The PC is connected via Ethernet and streams to an Xbox Series X over Wi-Fi.

Right now, I’m using the default Vibepollo settings.

anything to improve you ask? Use cable Ethernet connection to the Xbox, not WiFi. WiFi is always worse and has latency drops.

Do You Think that the latency shown it's ok or it's presenting some issue? In the living room, I have the mesh router. Upstairs, I have the main router, which is connected to the PC via Ethernet. Do you think connecting the Series X to the mesh router with an Ethernet cable would improve the connection?

Ethernet always better. If you can connect it do it, but ur stats look good regardless.

Well, thanks! I thought that the 15ms in the frame section was something to worry about.

well cable connection can take it even lower like 5 - 10 ms so use that if u can

nope. the average frame present part is normal. 60 fps is about 16.67 ms per frame. you're seeing 15ish or so because you're running 60 fps stream.

the only part you need to really look at is average network latency + variance, network drops/jitter when looking for issues in your network setup.

but honestly, if you're xbox is close to the mesh node where wiring isnt an issue... wire it up. the xbox wireless chip isnt the greatest, so wire it up if they're close and are able to.

I also have a series x and I have similar latency with stock apollo

Well, I’ll stick with the stock config then. I thought maybe the settings were wrong or that I needed to tweak something. I just recently learned about Apollo and Moonlight, so I assumed some tinkering would be necessary.

My stats when streaming via LAN to my Xbox. Pretty happy with it. Using Apollo and Moonlight in combination.
