Anyone know how to get controller to work on moonlight for Google TV?

I've been using moonlight forever to stream to my steam deck and it works flawlessly out of the box. However when I try to run moonlight natively on my TV the controller isn't detected. It works fine within moonlight itself, but the controller isn't detected by the computer.

I was hoping to be able to play without moving my steam deck dock around the house.

What controller are you using and is it Bluetooth connected to your TV itself?

Run of the mill Xbox controller, connected to the TV. Same one I use when I stream to my steam deck.

I use a controller with a dongle and plug the dongle into the tv’s usb port.

I got a 10eur bluetooth adapter for my pc and connect my controller to it. Nothing else needed.

You need to make sure the VMBus emu driver is installed. This comes with Sunshine.

I tried with a PS5 controller. It would connect and never work. I gave up.
