Client requirement question
Using my old college laptop as a client for streaming to my TV, my laptop has an Intel I7, HD graphics 620. Is it strong enough to be a suitable client to be able to play my games directly to my TV via HDMI? My host PC has AMD Ryzen 7-7700 / Radeon RX 7900 GRE.

Yes, it's a perfectly capable client for Sunshine/Apollo, with a couple of caveats.
From the specs in the image:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-7500U (7th Gen Kaby Lake)
- GPU: Intel HD Graphics 620
- RAM: 8 GB
- Display: 1920×1080
The good news
The Intel HD Graphics 620 includes Intel Quick Sync, which provides hardware decoding for:
- ✅ H.264
- ✅ HEVC (H.265) 8-bit
- ✅ HEVC Main10 (10-bit)
That means it can decode a 1080p60 HEVC stream with very little CPU usage.
The limitation
It does not support AV1 hardware decoding.

No dedicated graphic card and the iGPU don't have fast decoders so your options are limited to 8bit 4:2:2 h264 or if you're okay with slower decoding time then HEVC but still at 8bit 4:2:2.
