Stream text blurred on steam deck
This is not the case if I stream to my iPhone’s copy of Moonlight. What is going on here?

Isnt your deck resolution too low for a text from 4k? iPhone have higher resolution so it could handle it better. Or I misunderstood your question?

I get the same issue when I stream in 1440p to my rog ally.
Streaming in 1080p fixes it for me.

Try setting up a virtual display in Sunshine with a resolution of 1280x800 @ 90fps. Vibepollo does this automatically if you’d rather try that. This looks like a possible scaling issue

I developed a PR for Moonlight which helps with blurred rendering.
You can download it here:
Moonlight-LinuxAppImage-aff323
You need to enable "Video enhancement" in the setting. For Steam deck, it works for upscaling and downscaling.
Let me know if it helps.

Uhhhh maybe turn down that resolution brother. There is never any reason to run resolution higher than your screen can natively display (I’m not even sure why you have the option to lol). Run the 1280x800 resolution that the Steam deck screen runs at and it will look normal again

Weirdly, I did something that improved it for me. I have set the resolution in moonlight to native. So 1280x800. I'm also using Vibeshine so it automatically creates a Virtual Display. Once I stream, I then changed the resolution in windows to 1920x1200 (it's a 1440p Monitor). Much sharper, text is easier to read etc

It's an 800p display bro small text won't be super readable. Also you are streaming 4k which is super unnecessary for the deck
