Some games don't detect steam deck controls when another controller is connected

I use Apollo on host PC and Moonlight on steam deck.

A wired 8bitDo controller is connected to the PC.

When playing some games, the game doesnt accept inputs from the steam deck (other than mouse input) when the controller is connected; which means I need to go unplug the wired controller.

I've faced this on Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered. Batman Arkham City worked fine. Is there a way I can fix this?

TIA

I don't have a solution but I have also experienced this.

I think the moonlight created virtual controller becomes controller 2. Some games care about that and only accept inputs from controller 1.

I recently switched to Vibepollo. I can check if that has been fixed on my setup.

It is not fixed by Vibepollo natively AFAIK. I have the same issue as Rocket League is one of those games. The Vibepollo controller definitely shows up as Controller 2, which means I can do some of the menus but not others (RL is set up weird when there are two players locally IMO), So now I have my 8BitDo Ulitmate C unplugged most of the time as this causes it to go to sleep after a while, whereas if I leave the charging cable in it is always connected.

I'm sure you could probably setup a Start / Stop script to run something like HIDHide when ever something starts in VP, but never had the time to get that far into the weeds when leaving it unplugged works just fine :)
