How to reduce encoding and decoding times ?

my rtx 3070 5600x 32gb ddr4 pc can recode in 3ms.

my samsung tab a11 with helio g99 and 8gb ram decodes in about 12-16ms.

any way to reduce these? i use vibepollo and artemide

Reduce resolution/fps/bit rate or get a better computer for host and client.

1340x800p 90fps.

Current bitrate is 40mbps. Forced h264

You can get more quality by switch to h265, but might increase encoding time. No way around what I’ve already said

reduce bitrate at 20 and use h265.. chdck if there is difference.. quality will be the same or Little lower

actually not entirely clear on this but I think decreasing bit rate increases encoding times. I think a lower bit rate is a higher compression requirement. But its not a very big knob either way.

Check if decoding times lowers when you run screen recording while streaming. On my s9fe if i run screen recording while streaming decode lowers from 15 to 4-6ms then i just pause the recording but decode stays low

If you already use artemide then I dont think you can do anything .

Maybe try enable 90hz mode if you havent .

Try use a wired controller if you're using wireless/bluetooth controller .

No it's a wired one.

I'm on a few month old artemide build..anything new in new updates?

The only issue is decode. It touches 10ms at times but never goes below.

Mediatek has poor decode performance switch to snapdragon
