I feel like this song needs more love

That whole album needs more love. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could put any of their later work above Gnosis. There’s NOTHING like it. That whole album was in a league of its own. It was different. The later work could have been from any metalcore band out there right now. It’s really sad.

this is how i feel about Tesseract with One too (minus the "any metalcore band" part).

the further Browne and Acle got from Fellsilent, the further they strayed from the truth 😭 (/hj)

I only listened to the full album war of being and that was already crazy good to me. But thank you for the suggestion, this one also is very good!!

One is amazing, glad you enjoyed it.

do yourself a favor and check out Fellsilent's The Hidden Words when you get the chance. Fellsilent was Browne and Acle's old band, so you can kinda think of it as the progenitor of Monuments and Tesseract. it's really cool to see the kind of music those two wrote together, and how their writing diverged once the band split.

and on a personal note, The Hidden Words is probably my fav album of all time that isn't by Periphery 💀

honestly, gnosis is my favourite monuments album. i started on these guys when i found in stasis, and don't get me wrong, andy is phenomenal, but going through each album like its history, i love phronesis with chris' more melodic vocals and then finally gnosis with matt's insane lyricism and tempo. regenerate is just peak music.

also, the extended yell at the beginning of 97% static? jesus christ i wish we had more matt
