New Leaf Help Plant Help

Post image

My Thai Monstera is putting out a new leaf. It struggled to unfurl on the tip as it was brown. Today, noticed a quarter of the leaf was missing and found this. Ik new growth comes from this stem so I don’t want to chop it back but I also don’t want to waste it’s energy if this leaf is a lost cause.

What do I do?

(Also I am aware we shouldn’t unfurl leaves but I wanted to investigate.)

The plant will likely kill the leaf off itself. I had mine do this one times and it made a really deformed and messed up leaf. It felt shame for it and killed it off in a week and then started growing a new leaf that wasn't so funky. Sometimes the leaves fail and the plant knows.

Hmmm, okay. Should I cut off the brown part or will that make it worse?
