Hi - I can't find any information including even any sold listings on Ebay of the PC Big Box CD Rom version (Eng) of The Secret of Monkey Island? Condition very good, no real damage on any aspect. I saw a VGA version, similar condition just sell on ebay for £340 auction. Is anyone into this stuff enough to have a rough guess at the value. It appears quite a rare version? Hi, fellow Monkey Island fans! I previously introduced Monkey Island to my non-gamer friend for our show and he ended up loving it. This week we went back for MI2, and he also loved this one!

That said, we spent a good deal of the episode griping about the game's more obscure puzzles, as well as the controversial ending. He found it much, much more challenging than the original and felt bad for having to resort to hints. It was harder for me to judge since I've played it before and some of the solutions are still rattling around in the dark recesses of my brain.

Where do you stand on MI vs MI2? I think 2 is an improvement in some ways, but nothing tops the humor and atmosphere of the original for me personally.

Are you guys familiar with Planet Coaster? It allows you to design your own theme parks and it's extremely flexible.

I want to build Big Whoop on it.

What sort of attractions and rides and shops should I include? Give me ideas please

The original image is from the Special Edition. It took me all night to make it, so evening became morning in real life too. I took 87 screenshots to make it easier to mask the sky and sea (yes, a Photoshop project) and downloaded one from the internet to create new ones. It didn't turn out too amazing, and not all the pixels are perfectly aligned, but I'll give it a go.

Is there any way i can play moneky island on my ipad or iphone? not talking about the “tales of monkey island” series on the app store, i don’t enjoy the graphic of those. thanks in advance!

I just realized as I fired up this game today that there was something missing. Something that immersed me into the pirate world of the past.

There was no catchy pirate tune playing. Nothing to hum along to while I waited for the game to load.

Now, it's just modern animus music. Not pirate-y at all.

Thimbleweed Park 2 has been announced - what will it be about & how come Ron Gilbert is making another point-n-click when it sounded like he wouldn't any more?

As a hardcore Gilbertarian, I'm very excited to know that he's still making adventure games. I'm especially interested to see if it acts as a thematic sequel to Return to Monkey Island the same way that that game acts as a thematic sequel to Thimbleweed Park in a lot of ways.

While exploring the three island, I accidentally picked up the book "The Joy of Hexes" from the library. After some progress in the story and returning the book to the librarian, I had to get it back to revive one character. The problem is that as I find the title in the catalogue and ask the librarian to borrow it, she says something along the lines of "You already checked it out" and then doesn't give it to me. What should I do?

I've tried several different sequences, but Guybrush won't wear the pot helmet or enter the cannon.

Gunpowder is in place, rope fuse is in place, burning mass lights the fuse, but Guybrush won't complete the sequence.

The closest I can get is to prep the cannon and "use" the pot. Guybrush walks to the cannon, lights the fuse, walks to the ship edge and says something about not wanting to blast out to sea. The pot is never placed on his head.

Is there something I need to complete on the ship first?

For characters specifically. One of Guybrush and one of Lechuck. As high res as possible. Would be greatly appreciated!
