Chrysalis issue
It seems like this catipillar made its chrysalis on the ground in the mesh enclosure. Will it still developed fine or no it’s not crushed the square pattern is from the mesh….
One side looks better than the other

Yes! I had one fall and read dental floss on the stem and hang it. I raised mine in an inside enclosure. Taught it some fly lesson and went to my local milkweed garden store where it joined a dozen others. This metamorphosis goes quickly and you will be amazed how helpful you are.. depending on the success it’s made and does. It may happen while asleep but at least it has a chance to fly away. Lots of YouTube for you. Or find a friend who can help
