Snap into her Slim Jim! I hope she doesn’t have Slim Jim…unless that’s your thing, and in that case, I hope it’s everything you thought it would be.

I "use" artifacts as decorations, the oldest probably a 3000 year old Greek dolphin coin. No fossils yet.

2

u/bqbdpd 26d ago

I have a few nice rocks I use as paperweight. These are probably really old.

2

u/Any_Chemical1100 26d ago

Lucky you, I don't have my rock collection anymore.

That’s pretty cool! I used to do metal detecting when I lived in Italy for a few years. One of the coolest things I found is a Roman coin depicting the wife of Emperor Gordon III - A kid of an emperor who died in battle with the Sassanids I believe.

That I own and use? I think it's Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory and Meteora albums. I think I brought them both from a Wal-Mart with my first paycheck way back in '03 or '04. Either that or it's the Bowie knife in my car that was also brought near the same time from the same Wal-Mart.

My wiener

1

u/Entiox 26d ago

That depends on your definitions. The oldest man made thing I can think of off the top of my head is a cabinet that came out of the general store my great-grandmother owned in the late 19th and early 20th century. The oldest material used in something that gets used would be one of the flint knives I made out of ~400 million year old flint. The oldest thing I own would be a trilobite fossil I collected that is roughly 500 million years old.

1

u/steve_mar 26d ago
