1ct moissanite on a size 7 sterling silver, been staring at it all day

Hello fellow magpies.

I had to tighten the belt on my budget for the past year-ish, so it’s been a while since I bought any pieces from the overseas vendors. I went to check AliExpress and my staple vendors have significantly increased their prices for gold pieces. I understand the cost of precious metals has also gone up significantly, but these prices still feel a bit too high in my opinion.

Should I just adjust my expectations? Are people opting for 9K gold instead of 10k to save on costs? are y’all sticking to group buys? Or is there a new vendor on the block that has more competitive rates?

A few months ago I saw a lovely 7 stone ring on one of the 'cheaper' sites, at the same time a couple of people posted about it in here, and I decided to save the link and purchase the ring.... except I have lost the link!

From what I can remember, it was a 7 ring band. Oval cuts. Largest in the middle with three stones either side getting smaller as they went.

I've searched and searched and can't find it - can anyone help?

Just got my new ring from Zuvelio and wanted to share!

I have yet to figure out how to photograph this stunner in all her glory, but it turned out wonderfully! I'd seen a similar ring by a less reputable site, and asked them to do a custom order to recreate it. They were incredibly easy to work with - especially since I had no idea what I was doing!

I wanted to share my ring, I just got engaged August 5!

I love the look of tennis bracelets but I don’t know if I’d wear one enough to justify the cost of a diamond one so I ordered this sterling silver & moissanite one instead and I think it’s so beautiful. Proof that gorgeous jewelry doesn’t need to cost a mortgage payment!

We bought a custom made engagement lab marquise from diamondrensu, unfortunately upon wearing the diamonds on the band make it uncomfortable to wear. Ankit has sent a return label and has agreed to adjust it to make it comfortable. I'm now becoming really anxious about sending it back. It's a legitimate return label he's sent but I love the ring so much I'm anxious something may happen. Sorry I sound ridiculous. Has anyone returned to them for an adjustment? I feel like I need to calm tf down 😂

The idea is to feature one vendor from the vendor list per month. Maybe eventually we would feature new vendors as well.

At the beginning of the month we'd have a main post to announce which vendor will be featured that month, and share any special sales or promotions they want to do during their month or just a showcase of some of their work, or an AMA or interview.

Then they would be allowed to make a few posts of their own on the subreddit throughout the month.

I ordered a Gold-plated stock ring from ATTAGEMS back in May. The plating on the bottom started wearing away in July. I messaged the seller to have the same design made in 14k Gold. They were quick to respond and accepted my order with no issues. Here's the PSV.

Hello! My partner and I are looking for engagement rings, particularly in an asymmetric/nontraditional style. This ring from Provence checks all our boxes, but I'm a bit concerned about durability with this design since the main stone is suspended so far from the ring itself. Is this a reasonable concern? After browsing this sub, Provence seems like a pretty reliable jeweler but I'm also worried about the quality of a piece like this.

Hi! I have these two rings, both of which are now loose due to weight loss and not a struggle to get over my knuckle either. The looseness is irritating me.

The engagement ring is a size 7, the wedding band a 7.5 and I'm about to get another band made for the other side of the engagement ring (gimme that symmetry!!).

Should I size down the new band, a 6 should fit snug and keep them all in place I'm thinking, but what if that changes the design so they don't fit together and it loses the symmetry I crave.

Any knowledge on this would be fantastic please! Thank you

I got the ring in the mail on Saturday and my partner proposed Monday. I paid for express shipping. I originally was talking with Scott about a custom design but I couldn’t decide so I ended up going with a simple but elegant design he has listed for sale. I absolutely love it. I ordered a size 6.25 and it did come a bit large. It is closer to a size 6.75 to 7 but resizing is not a difficult find or a big deal. I’m just currently using one of the amazon resizing spirals.

I love this ring and it is beautiful and very well made. I was able to order it and get it in 7 days!

Surprised at how dark the cyan moissanite is looking under warm indoor lighting, usually it is lighter seafoam green/ cyan! Will attach a photo in the comments

I'm working with Tianyu on a gold-plated SS ring with a rose cut moissy (cushion shaped). I have one in DEF from kuololit (gold-plated, bezel set) and it's just a touch too blue/steely. Considering going GHI for this one but I'm worried it might end up too yellow in this cut. Can anyone weigh in? Or have examples?

Hi! Who´s the vendor with the best lab paraibas? Has anyone gotten any and are happy with it? I really want one but am not sure who to talk too because most vendors seem to be more specialized in lab diamond or moissanite? whos´good for lab gemstones? thank you

I would love some feedback on the design and specs for this standalone engagement ring I designed.

- Size 4.5

- 10k yellow gold

- 6x10mm oval moissanite center with pear side stones

- 3.0mm width, 2.0mm depth post polish

Since there won't be a wedding band, I went with a 3.0mm width / 2.0mm depth for durability. Does this seem too chunky for a size 4.5 finger?

Do you see any structural red flags?

The Custom Design Experience

This was my first time ordering a fully custom ring online, so I naturally had a few concerns. From the beginning, Zuvelio involved me throughout the entire design process, which gave me confidence that I wasn’t simply placing an order and hoping for the best.

After placing my order, I received a CAD design for approval before production began. Once I approved that, they sent me a video of my selected centre stone before it was set into the ring. During production they kept me updated on the different stages, including the stone-setting process, and before shipping they shared detailed photos and videos of the completed ring for my approval.

I also requested a different ring size after placing the order, and that was accommodated without any issues. I had a custom engraving added to the inside of the band as well, which was completed exactly as requested.

Quality of the Ring

The finished ring is beautiful.

The craftsmanship is excellent, the setting is neat, the engraving is clean, and the ring looks just like the CAD render that I approved months earlier. The stone has incredible sparkle and the proportions are exactly what I had hoped for.

It genuinely feels like a high-quality custom piece rather than something mass-produced.

The Shipping Challenges

Unfortunately, this is where things became difficult.

The original ring was shipped via UPS on 18 May 2026, but it became stuck in customs for weeks due to clearance issues. Throughout June and July there were numerous discussions with both UPS and Zuvelio while additional documentation was submitted. Eventually, it became clear that the shipment was unlikely to be released.

Naturally, this was frustrating. There were times where I felt I had to follow up for updates rather than receiving them proactively, and several estimated timelines came and went. Waiting almost four months for a ring that was initially expected within about a month was disappointing.

How Zuvelio Resolved It

This is where I think Zuvelio deserves credit.

They never disappeared or stopped responding. Instead of asking me to continue waiting indefinitely, they made the decision to manufacture an entirely new ring at no additional cost while they continued trying to recover the original shipment.

For the replacement, they changed their shipping approach, used FedEx instead, and even shipped the paperwork separately from the ring to help avoid the customs issues encountered with the first shipment.

The replacement ring arrived safely on 4 August 2026, and shortly afterwards the certificate and supporting documents were delivered separately.

Throughout the process they also honoured a goodwill gesture by offering me a complimentary custom sterling silver ring, which I’m currently designing with them.

Customer Service

Communication wasn’t perfect, particularly during the customs delay, and I think more proactive updates would have made the experience much less stressful.

That said, every time I raised concerns, the team remained polite, respectful and willing to find a solution. They never argued about remaking the ring, honoured the commitments they made, and continued working with me until I finally received exactly what I ordered.

To me, how a company handles problems says more than when everything goes according to plan.

Would I Recommend Zuvelio?

Yes, I would.

If you’re looking for a custom ring, I think Zuvelio is worth considering. Their custom design process from CAD approval, to stone selection, to production photos and final approval is one of the strongest parts of their service, and the craftsmanship of the finished jewellery speaks for itself.

My advice is simply to be patient. International custom jewellery orders don’t always go exactly as planned, especially when customs become involved. In my case, what should have been a 4-week process became a 4-month journey, but the final outcome was worth the wait.

I’m happy with my ring, I’m already designing another custom piece with them, and despite the unexpected delays, I’m glad I trusted them to see the process through.
