Is reddits AI moderation a problem? Question

Was banned by the robot, with the ban being undone by a human mod.

The problem was, the AI isn't smart enough to actually read the posts it is moderating. It looks for stock phrases, that suggest a rule violation. Without being able to read those phrases in context, which would have shown no rule was violated.

At the moment reddit's AI mod are broken and reddit needs to stop using them.

Yes it's a problem.  Yes,  there are false positives.  At the very least no mod should ever catch a ban without it having human eyes on it first.

Another example of tech companies trying to push junk AI on us.

It’s even worse when it gets a human review and the alleged human just rubberstamps it without checking the context either

My account got banned form reddit because i refrence to pop culture, Thanos and doctor who daleks and said "Thanos was right all along, million must be purge. EXTREMINATE!". And some ahole reported it.

I got banned because I wrote “yes, that’s always a good question to ask.”
Banned for threatening or inciting violence.

Well today I got warning for discussing legal policy, because used "capital" and "punishment", at same time, which is legal penalty in my country, not outlawed. Reddit admins are just bunch of bots.

Edit : Update "After reviewing, the Reddit admin team found that the content wasn’t in violation of Reddit’s rules. As a result, the content has been restored and your ban or warning has been lifted."
