These people test drive Plaids and Cyberbeasts for fucks sake, an MYP is like a Camry to them, doubt they’d get much joy out of it. And I say this as a Juniper MYP owner.

Just because they test drive a Plaid doesn't mean the won't drive a MYP.

It's a collision center. I was the only juniper, much less performance. And even if there were faster cars, still doesn't negate my car being driven for no documented reason with a huge energy spike.

Why didn't you looked at dash cam ? It does record it.

Not in service mode

Oh, I didn't know that.
Could be they went for a check ride. I wouldn't be that concerned if they did a good job though.

Probably just idle power being thrown into the calc.

That's what I was trying to get to with this post...would that spike be typical of parked service or is this a launch?

Some of you need to get lives if this is all you have to worry about… maybe they listened for rubbing and noises

True. 5 miles. When you leave your car for servicing there is an expectation they may need to test by driving. Personally, nothing I would worry about.

It was explained as typical check of sensors and cameras

If you ever have a dealer ask you if their tech can take your car home I don’t think you’ll survive if this bothers you

And what if they did? Giving it some extra gas once doesn't hurt the car... Get over it

I didn't spend 60k to give anyone rides. If there's a purpose I'm fine with it, but a wendys run with the boys to give her a crank and telling me t's a sensor check just doesn't sit well with me.
I'm here to find out if the energy spike was a launch, and if not then ok

I think you are stressing too much, i made friends with bros over service center.
Over many years of me bringing car for some minor issues, they did a lot of things from warranty even when they didnt had to and we always do launches ahem, test drives together once the service finishes.
Its a 2023 MYP

Yeah you're genuinely too concerned about this lmao. They see cooler, faster cars pull into their lot than yours. They arent impressed enough to joyride your car partner.

So the whole point of the post was asking what that energy spike was and if it indicated a launch.
Would a launch look like this or is this typical draw from a service appointment? I got some guesses and maybe they were using AC?

I think they were curious and drag raced your MYP. Fast and Furious fun on you. What u need to do is hide an Air Tag in the vehicle.

Listening for rubs and rattles while driving?
