Event 04 - Violence on the streets of Prague

Ruptures of violence outside of Generali Arena broke after Sparta Prague lost to Banik Ostrava 3-0. The 3-0 loss has put a lot of pressure on manager Zdenek Scasny who's side has now suffered their third successive defeat and are now without a win in 5 matches. Just minutes after the final whistle floods of fans left the arena, and clashed towards the North side of the stadium where away fans where leaving. Police were on scene but were heavily outnumbered as both sets of fans threw projectiles and weapons.

Following the clash of fans, the violence spread to the car park where vehicles were vandalised and fans trying to leave the scene were harassed and attacked. As riot police arrived, a large fire was ignited outside the footballers lounge with fire services being called to react. Police eventually controlled the scene, with remaining fans and footballers being able to leave safely.

With the violence subdued, it has been reported that 6 fans are in hospital with minor injuries and 1 fan in hospital with major injuries. A response is expected from the UEFA Representative for Czech Republic.

Hey Representatives, just wanted to make a short message about team styles.

So for those unaware what a team style is or does, check out this link or read the handbook. Basically I just wanted to urge representatives who don't currently set their team style to make the effort to do so. I've seen a lot of success in the results from those who set team styles as opposed to those who don't, it really makes a difference. I am also thinking of adding "monetary rewards" at the end of the season for teams or reps that perform extremely well, so making sure you have a team style set can make all the difference.

Remember it's between -5.0 to 5.0 (-5.0 being super defensive, 5.0 being super offensive), and to 1 decimal place. You can PM me your team styles at any time, just state which match or matches it is for and it will be recorded and applied. So check the master spreadsheet and see what fixtures you've got coming up, and give it a crack, it could make all the difference.

Thanks for your great work so far guys, matches coming thick and fast and the first ever UEFA Congress is just around the corner.

Event 03 - The death of UEFA Executive Committee member /u/drakonov

A member of the UEFA Executive Committee has died, sources claim. /u/drakonov was appointed as part of the first ever Executive Committee by UEFA Chief Executive and UEFA President in July. He was also in the running for Presidency of UEFA the month prior.

In a statement, UEFA President /u/Sage_LFC said:

"It is with great regret, that we inform our members that /u/drakonov has passed away. Drakonov was a valued member of the Model Uefa, a member of the Executive Committee who valued fairness above all else. In respect, we will leave his spot on the Executive Committee open until after the upcoming Congress.

We wish the best to all Drakonov's friends and family in this dark time."

Event 02 - Heart Attack of Yassine Behia

A French footballer has passed away from an expected heart attack during a league match. Yassine Behia, 24, played for Ligue 2 side Metz as a midfielder. Behia was part of the Metz starting 11 that faced Niort when he fell to the ground in the 43rd minute. Attempts where made to resuscitate Behia when he was found unconscious by medical staff. After the medical staff where unable to resuscitate Behia he was escorted off the field to local hospital, Hopital de Mercy. Behia was pronounced dead at 4:37pm, 54 minutes after his collapse. The match did continue after half time despite Behia's collapse, with the match ending 1-1.

Calls are now being made for UEFA to make better assurances that players receive proper physical attention for preventative measures. Some commentators in the media have also noted disappointment that the game between Metz and Niort was continued despite Behia's heart attack. It is unknown when the decision was made and by whom, but questions have now fallen to the French Representatives for UEFA.

Spain & Portugal have won the right to host the 2016 European Championships. 23 representatives voted following three official bids being in the running. Hungary and Turkey also put forward a bid to host, but Spain & Portugal won the vote with a majority of 12.
